Fidgety set up, took about 9 tries to get it right, then it was good, to try to drill 2 dowel holes at the same time was not satisfactory, the jig was not aligned with the face and the holes were constantly off, the clamp screw is flimsy, you need to really bear down on it to get it to stay in position and not slip. But if you just want it for installing furniture knock down clamp fasteners it is good/great. The bit for drilling the clamp hole is a forsner type bit and once it has drilled past the guide, it can get sloppy and wander around, should be a long-fluted Brad point bit for precision, so I ordered a 15mm brad point to solve the problem. There are many of these type assemblies out there, so shop around and you will find them from $29 to $69, the cheap ones are probably Chinese factory seconds. All and all I guess I am satisfied, I learned a lot to make this work, so be prepared to fine tune your set up on scrap, for a good fit and alignment on your actual project. Once you have it completely dialed in it is excellent for drilling Furniture Connector holes and will make perfect holes for this purpose one after another! Once there it is a matter of measuring and drilling for perfect results.
