Item that needs replacement after 2 years
This is the standard light bulb for my dynatrap mosquito trapper for 1/2 acre. After using dynatrap for many years, it is not easy to get bites when cleaning my pool in the backyard. This year, I found the light bulb was broken, so I got this replacement after buying the last one about two years ago. One interesting change is that not much insects are trapped this year when compared to the past years. Not sure if my backyard is void of bugs or the old bulb were not functioning properly. Will update the review at the end of this year.

Works Well
I tried a cheaper generic brand once but it did not work like the name brand. I can go out on my back deck and not be swarmed by a multitude of bugs. It's worth it!

Buy the best
All I know is by the originals manufactured by the company. They last much longer than the cheaper aftermarket bulbs. Most of the cheaper ones I have bought have not lasted a month. Two of these have lasted almost a year and still working.

So far good buy
Bulb already works better than 2 bulbs advertised as replacement bulbs. They burned out in less than 2 months for both of them. I accidentally submitted a review thinking this was the bulbs that burned out. This one is still going strong one month in.

Simply stated, it works
Despite the availability of less expensve, aftermarket replacement bulbs, I've stuck with the DynaTrap brand because they work. We live in a small, heavily-wooded community in the middle of a wildlife refuge and along protected wetlands. We get bugs! This year, the no-see-ums were brutal, I'm assuming because of all the spring rains we had. Almost anywhere you go in our neighborhood you're going to get bit...except on my porch. The reduction in biting flies is very noticeable. To me, it's worth an extra buck or two to have this level of comfort and if you spread the cost difference out over the summer "buggy months" you're only talking pennies a day difference between the DynatTrap OEM bulb and a generic aftermarket bulb. I'm sitting comfortably on my porch typing his and I can actually see my neighbor, a few houses down the road, swatting at the bugs.

IT KILLS BUGS. DEAD. QUIETLY.
I detest zappers with their noisy, murderous, zingers that are distracting both in sizzle and flash. I am VERY pleased with the quiet and serenely murderous dehydration technique used by my DynaTraps. Yep. TWO. One for the front yard and one for the back. I live on an acre of semi-rainforest which can get humid and a bit buggy in the summer. I have an actual lawn in front and side and back of the house. I live near a small stream and up the mountain from a generous river. Think: Bug Country. This quietly and quickly dispatches the irritating, frustrating, annoying, miniature beasts that can drive a woman crazy. The bugs are like tiny little flying dinosaurs out to ruin a lovely evening when I want to enjoy watching a glorious sunset or sitting out while the dogs run around like maniacs. It feels like I have taken back my property from the tiny, airborne squadron. Go buy one. Or two. My next purchase will be for the itsy-bitsy fruit flies for my kitchen.

Bulbs are defective and do not last.
Very disappointed with these bulbs. I bought these back in May for my two traps, Even though the original bulbs were still working from the previous year. Within one and a half months of placing the new bulbs, they are already burned out, forcing me to put the original bulbs back in from the previous year. This type of bulb replacement seems predatory. It’s truly unacceptable. bulbs should at least last one season. I’m not sure if these were bad bulbs that were built late in the day or not. I have left an email with the manufacturer to see what they have to say or if they can offer some type of compensation.
