I bought this because the plastic hook on the strap I was using with my curved soprano sax broke. This one has a plastic-covered metal hook with safety, a metal adjuster, and metal ends that hold the cord in the leather neck piece. No plastic parts to break!Curved soprano saxes take a shorter strap than a straight soprano. In addition to having all metal pieces where many straps use plastic, this one lets you shorten the cord if needed. I tied a new knot 4" up from the end of one side and cut off the excess cord. Its shortest position is great for curved soprano with about an inch of adjustment to spare. The longest position works well with my alto sax. It also has about an inch of extra adjustment. This is exactly what I was looking for.

It's an Okay neck strap, but it is not for the tenor Sax.

I like this type of strap because it rest on my shoulders and not on my neck, it works better for me than the common straps

My son out grew his neck strap so I came across this and showed him. He loves it. It takes the weight off his neck and doesn't choke him while playing his saxophone
