Q: I read quite a few reviews that the ball does not fill the cover . Is there a trick to forcing more air into the ball?

I had no trouble- you think the ball is full but there is still room in the cover. The instructions explicitly state that when this happens, the ball isn’t actually full and to keep filling. I just kept going until the cover was full.

Q: What is the max weight the chair can withstand?

The product instructions list the limit at 400 lbs. I'm a 200-pound man, and the ball can hold my weight

Depends how much you fill the ball..I wasn't really thinking and filled the ball until it filled the cover completely which was WAY to tall for me, and in that circumstance, yes, it was quite hard. Once I let out enough air for it to be a reasonable soE.foe my use it was much more comfortable

Q: Will the ball deflate over time?

Not really so far so good. I love the ball. I use its as my office chair.
