excellent
works great

Solid power supply that does what it should.
Works well. Soft starts and stops with no glitches. The current meter that reads in mA below 1A is a nice feature, most supplies have 10mA resolution. Not a big deal either way. The meters are as accurate as they need to be. I haven't and may never use the full 5A. tested it at low voltage with the leads shorted and it indicated about 4.9A. The Current limiting seems to be solid at low currents which is much more important. I haven't heard the fan yet.

Well worth the money
I use this for electroplating . It provides more than enough to electroplate nickel onto small arms such as rifles

Excellent product .
Most of the power supplies I use are analog but have current limiting, constant current capability as well as constant voltage capability. Compared to Analog supplies. the YAECCC supply seemed a lot more touchy to adjust .. at first. However it was not very jittery to any degree. The controls are very sensitive. A pot with more turns would make fine adjustments easier..but it can be adjusted remarkably well in the very low ranges. Conveniently there are 2 adj pots for Voltage/Amperage displays if needed. They are right on the front panel so the supply need not be opened if there is a need to "zero in" the meters.. .The auto ranging meter switches from mA to Amps is a bonus. The switching supply internal fly-back frequencies may affect some Audio work. I do not work on Audio so I am not sure about that. The only mildly negative issue for me is the owners manual typical Chinese manual. Following the manual the supply works as explained. What is uneasy is that the manual goes on to explain care to be taken using the device not to cause damage. I think they over hype that a bit make it sound more fragile than it is.I'll see how it holds up. The Manufactures concern is are the sudden dumping of an inductive load (like a motor or solenoid) and the spike back emf produced. All in all I like the unit. I have used this power supply for a while now. Works fine. After reading the manufactures seeming concern about inductive kickback doing damage. (sudden disconnect of a relay for example and the back emf spike.) I put a common 4007 1 amp 1kv diode back biased with the cathode to the Pos post and anode to the to the Grd terminal of the power supply to kill a spike to ~ .7v . No fancy Shottky diode just a 4007.. . I then tried pulling of the Pos lead dumping the current of a 12 and 24 volt solenoid. Did not do any harm. I AM not suggesting anyone follow my procedure t but we do it on all our DC supplies and seems to work well to prevent inductive kick back damage..

Awesome power supply
Bought this for electroforming over a month ago and wife has been electroforming her jewelry almost nonstop and need to now make a 3rd batch of electroforming solution and buy some more electrodes. Very easy to adjust and very reliable.

Beware: Nice item but lasted 2 hours
Started to use it for a power supply source for my projects. Just last few days when i was home. After about 2 hours of using it it burnt up. So my suggestion would pick another brand. Or maybe i just got a bad apple out of the bunch. So now i need to save to buy another one. The price was reasonable. Thats why i purchased it. I use a cheap one until i can rebuy one. Not bothering with shipping anything back where it cost me more money. So i salvaged what i could from machine . Sure wish it worked better i almost finished my bluetooth speaker project. Oh this was my birthday gift. Update:: after leaving reveiw never heard from seller to try and resolve issue. So heads up if you have issues. They didnt respond. I have another unit thats actually the similar, bought from different vendor. This one works.

Works fine so far. Came with cables...
Very light and portable. So far it works fine. Mine came with the cables that others were missing.NOTES: Not having experience with these before it took me a while to figure out how to use either constant voltage or constant amperage. Start with power off. For constant voltage turn up the amperage knobs to max, and voltage all the way down. Power on, then slowly turn voltage knob to desired setting. Amps will change to keep volts constant. For constant current turn voltage knobs to max, and amps to min, power on then slowly turn amps knob to desired setting. Voltage will change to keep amps constant. Perfect for etching or plating and much better than the motorcycle battery/charger I was using.

Early impression - Pleasently Surprised - Excellent power supply for the price
After initial testing I am quite pleased with this power supply. I connected my IMAX B6 battery charger which requires a 12 volt input as the test load. By charging various batteries at various rates I could operate the power supply under various load conditions. My thoughts are as follows:1. The cooling fan is relatively quiet, speed varies under varying load conditions. Other similar power supplies run the fan full speed all the time.2. The digital displays are relatively accurate. There are openings on the front of the panel to access the Amp and Volt calibration pots. Some other similar power supplies require removing the cover to adjust the calibration pots.3. The ammeter display automatically switches from A to mA when the load is less than 1 Amp. Some other power supplies either have a manual switch or only measure in the A mode which greatly reduces the precision when operating at low load levels. So far, no negative comments. Time will tell.
