I bought a used car back in February and to my dismay, the aux port was damaged. I (stupidly) did not get the warranty. I was hoping to use the aux port to connect my Amazon Echo or this Bluetooth adapter I had. I was very upset until it hit me - I could just get an FM transmitter. My brother-in-law has one and it works great. I went on Amazon and found this one. I read through a couple of reviews and bought it. It was something of an impulse buy, but I am so glad I did. It works very well - connects to my phone as soon as I power on my car, unlike my Amazon Echo Auto, which I don't miss. I have to turn the sound up on my phone and radio to hear anything but that might just be due to the technology. Once it's at the volume I prefer, music sounds great. For the best results I tuned the transmitter to the end of the FM spectrum and I haven't had to deal with interference with other radio stations. This unit has features that I haven't used yet, such as the aux port on the side, and I just realized that you can put in a micro SD card in it. I will have to try that out as sometimes I don't want to launch the music app on my phone and find something to play. I also love the button you use to answer the phone, and didn't realize you could long-press it for Siri (since I have an iPhone) so I will have to try that out. Initially connecting it to your device is also very easy, as I recently upgraded my phone and had to pair it again. I also love the two charging ports, as you can use it to charge anything else. I used one port to charge my MagSafe charger but I broke that cable by accident. I came back to this listing to buy it for my dad as he needs one, and remembered that I wanted to write a review for this, so here it is. I think I paid $29 for it, and it was worth every penny. It works very well and I love it.

Part of me expected to be disappointed by this, but the idea is just so great I wanted to give it a shot. So far it's performed at or above expectations! I really only use it for one thing, so that's where the 5 stars is coming from...note that things I *don't* use it for may perform much more poorly (perhaps the FM transmitter isn't very strong, etc). I connect my phone to bluetooth, and use an aux cable to connect this device to my car's stereo. It pairs automatically when I turn the car on, and works just as expected. I think what makes me so excited to use this is that it makes it much easier to 1. Change the volume and 2. Skip songs, vs doing those things on my phone or on my car's stereo (I do have a fairly old stereo, but the volume dial is too shallow to grab and twist easily without looking. I can't skip songs on it at all). The display shows my car's battery voltage at startup, which is a nice touch, for an old car like mine that can be valuable info. Oh, and two USB ports are super handy, I use those. Here is my feedback/disclaimers, though. These are things I wish were there but aren't dealbreakers for me, or things I haven't tried at all: * Haven't touched the FM transmitter * Haven't really used any feature beyond what I've described...the SD card reader, the hands-free phone calls, etc. * I wish there was a play/pause button. * I don't think the display shows song info? I thought that was an advertised feature. I mostly use Amazon Music instead of the native music app, maybe that has an impact on this, but it shouldn't. It doesn't bother me, though; I know my songs well enough to not need them displayed. * Number one complaint: it appears that the device sounds (most notably, the "waiting for pairing" and "device paired" notifications, which are spoken) are *not* affected by the relative volume of the device itself!! This to me is a major oversight...what it means is that when I first turn on my car, that voice telling me it's trying to pair is LOUD. I leave my car's stereo volume really high and just allow the volume control on this device to be the governing factor, but when the device audio isn't quieted by the device volume, it's an issue! So, you know, don't let this thing give you a heart attack like it did for me the first few times. It's still an annoyance, heart attack or not. I debated taking a star off for this, it really is a mistake. I'm curious if some kind of settings or something could adjust this (I didn't get any instructions with the device). So, to reiterate, *for my purposes,* this is totally a 5-star item. There are many similar items around, maybe a cheaper one would be just as good, maybe some of these other features don't work very well, maybe this thing won't last too long, but for now, I'm pretty dang happy. It solves a problem I have in a well-done way. Update: it’s been about a year and this device is still doing its job just fine. The loud pairing voice thing is still annoying. I actually think the issue may be that the device has no volume memory, it just resets to a (fairly loud) default every time it’s turned on. I keep my stereo volume a bit lower now, so it’s about right at that default volume. I have to mess with my stereo volume when I want really loud music, but this isn’t very often so the lack of volume memory isn’t a huge deal. Definitely still wish there was a play button, or that it would auto-play your music when it pairs. I’ve used other similar devices since writing this review, and I gotta say, the auto-pairing for this is lightning fast compared to many.

Got this for my mother who needed a bluetooth receiver in her older car to listen to books on tape. Library and Audible put everything on the web now, so she needed to use her phone rather than old style CD input that her car provided. Bluetooth connected effortlessly and played sound over FM. I could not however get the AUX to work. I figured it'd be much easier to go from bluetooth to aux directly (and avoid having to find FM station open) however it appears the AUX input/output is really input only and doesn't function bi-directionally as advertised. Have to knock it a star for that as I was really hoping not to have to explain to parents how to find a "static-ish" FM station to broadcast on. They have the aux... sadly their phone doesn't have the aux output anymore as everyone is cheap in the cell phone industry. Hooked up and was pleasantly surprised that the device also provided battery voltage monitoring! It flagged that the battery was low and needed a new charge. Saved her some trouble before the winter hit. Guess she needs to drive more or replace that battery! Aside from Aux issue, no problems with device with several trials and setups. She's up and going no problems!

I recently started obtained a 2009 Toyota Rav4. It was equipped with an AM/FM radio, CD player, and aux in-put. My brother suggested I tried this product. He purchased one several years ago. His exact model is currently being sold. However, same company and he likes his. From the first time I plugged it in, the bluetooth connection has been great, no hiccups. The sound quality, I'm not sure because I don't know how it should be compared to listening to the stock stereo. Also I don't know if my iphone is the issue. I listen to my spotify playlists. The volume of the music is significantly lower when I use this device, compared to the stock stereo. Even when I have the BT170 at max volume 30. I can turn up the stock volume, but once it gets to a certain point the music doesn't sound good. I'm the type that will pound music while I'm driving, not to bother other people but because I love the music I listen too. This item is not that. However, I give it 5 stars because it allows me to listen to the music I like. I don't have CDs, they're going the way of the dinosaurs. For the price, it's a good buy. I can do without pounding music while I'm driving. The volume/quality of the music may not be the same as the stereo, but it's enough for me to enjoy my music with the windows down. The wind isn't a big factor. My brother is shocked because his device plays like his stock stereo. It's all good. I'm satisfied with what I got for now. The price for what I got is fair.

The previous owner of my 2008 model year car must have been the last person on the planet to order a new vehicle with a factory cassette player (with no CD or even aux input). I was forced to use one of those cassette adapter thingamies. They work OK but hiss a little and the 3.5 jack will eventually crackle or fail completely. You also end up with wires hanging all over your center console. I haven't compared this product with similar items. But I can say that it works fantastically well. The sound quality is definitely improved over the tape adapter. It pairs immediately with my phone. I find the volume knob and track buttons to be very easy to use; preferable to relying on the phone touchscreen. The phone call function works really well with good sound and the mic picks up my voice without trouble. It's also a bit smaller than I'd expected, which is a good thing as it sits behind my gear stick in P just fine. It's elegant-looking with a nice clear display and blue LEDs. Upon turning on, it shows your battery voltage then announces it is pairing. In case you were worried, you can certainly leave it plugged in. It is off and doesn't draw power when the ignition is off. It is a little bit softer in volume that the tape adapter but doesn't distort at all when the volume is raised. It can go plenty loud enough. You also have to experiment with the FM tuning. Some bandwidths seemed unused but didn't work well with the transmitter. Search the FM bands for the ideal one with the full, strong signal. Excellent product. Very happy.

This is a very nifty device that I had no idea even exsisted. My last tape deck I plugged into my phone for my music broke and with covid my normal store didnt have the one I always buy, so I hopped on Amazon. When I finally recieved the FM transmitter I immediately put it in my van. Was so easy to set up. Plug the transmitter into your cig lighter socket, Set your radio to any station, Set the FM transmitter to the same station and BOOM! Instant music through my van speakers. The transmitter does have a cord as well if you prefer that option. The sound quality is very good. I heard no static or whining when I used it. The only reason I returned it and am giving it only 3 stars is because the volume quality is shit if you like to listen to your music loudly and I do. If you dont, no need to finish reading this review. I mean ya can, I cant stop you. I love BASS. I love the feeling of my whole van vibrating as I listen to my music. I want the music to keep my heart beating if it happen to stop. That's how loud I like to listen to my music and this doesnt even come close to that. The loudest the transmitter goes is 30. The loudest my van goes is 40. And the loudest my phone goes is 100. I can have the transmitter up all the way, my phone up all the way and my van volume up all the way and could barely hear the music as I drove down the freeway with the windows down. Again, if loud music is not your cup of tea then this FM transmitter would be just fine for you. Would have kept it if the volume wasnt such an issue for me. Very nice product through!

I've owned and been using one of these daily for 6-7 years now in my car. It works fine. Audio quality as far as music goes, it could be described as slightly muddy but it works nicely as far as connecting to my phone(s) over the years. Never an issue there. Volume control is odd, max volume number seems random (I think it's 31 or 33?) Calls sound good enough. Connects right away when pairing. Speaking of volume, sometimes it'll randomly start beeping when driving down the road as if you're turning the volume all the way up when it's already all the way up) That's the only quirk I have found with it. Just move the knob and it stops. Happens infrequently. I find that it's best to leave the volume on the transmitter all the way up and control the volume on your vehicle's radio. No problems at all charging 2 devices at the same time with the USB ports. Both work great to this day. I've never used the microsd slot (I keep forgetting it has one) All in all it works great and I've got my money's worth from it over the years. Happy that it's lasted so long. I recommend 👍👍

I bought this for my teenage son to use in his first car. He had it set up in minutes and loves the convenience of listening to his own music hands free via his phone. Excellent value.

Transmetteur FM/bluetooth qui fait le boulot. Je possède une auto (de marque allemande réputée pour sa qualité et ses innovations) du début des années 2000, avec un combiné radio multi-cd + navigation haut de gamme mais sans BT ni même de prise AUX (alors que le AUX était présent sur ma vielle japonaise des années '90) Ce récepteur FM/ émetteur BT permet de lier mon smartphone à mon auto et de profiter ainsi de ma musique (spotify) et du téléphone main-libre. De plus, via ses commandes, on peut changer le volume du son, les titres joués, les canaux fm, décrocher les appels. Il possède deux entrées USB (dont 1 usb-c) pour la recharge du téléphone. Seul petit bémol, le volume sonore est trop faible de base, il faut pousser le volume de l'auto radio pour une écoute correcte. S'en souvenir avant de passer du BT au CD est primordial si on ne pas subir un arrêt cardiaque :) (1 étoile en moins)

Habe lange gesucht und diverse Produkte probiert und kann dieses für meine Zwecke nur empfehlen. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig okay. Da mein Radio im Auto nicht Bluetooth fähig ist und mein neues Handy keinen Anschluss mehr hat für z.b. dem "AUX" Kabel über das ich vorher die Musik und die Freisprechanlge des Auto Radio's verwenden konnte musste ein "Bluetooth Transmitter " her. Da mein "AUX" Anschluss sowie der benötigte "Zigaretten Anzünder" zwischen dem Fahrer und Beifahrer im Auto angebracht ist fand ich bei diesem Produkt den schwenkbaren Arm und das Display interessant. Das mitgelieferte Kabel ( etwas kurz , aber für meinen gebrauch völlig ausreichend) lässt mich jetzt so wieder die vorzüge des Auto Radio's zwecks Musik hören und telefonieren nutzen können. Die Bedienung für mich als Fahrer sowie für meine Tochter als Beifahrer ist durch den schwenkbaren Arm gut zu bedienen. Die Bluetooth Verbindung hat bis jetzt auch immer super funktioniert. Über den Klang bzw die Ton Qualität kann ich kaum etwas sagen da ich wie gesagt alles über das Auto Radio laufen lasse. Für mich ein gutes Gerät mit leichter Bedienung und Installation.
