Vox VX50BA 50-Watt Bass Combo Amp

I've been playing bass guitar for 40 years. I've had all kinds of amps: Hartke, Gallien Kruger, SWR, Trace Elliot, David Eden, etc, so I feel somewhat qualified to provide an assessment of this little amp. If you want something that's loud enough to practice with a full band, well...buy a bigger amp. If you want to practice at home with a good amount of volume or perform over acoustic players and have great depth and punch from a 6" speaker and an amp that weighs as much as a cooked turkey, you're good to go with this. I play everything from Alternative, Modern rock and classic rock through a 4-string Ernie Ball Stingray to funk, slap style with a Mark King Signature Series Status Graphite. This amp can take it, but it's not for performers who need volume. It's just that simple. You use the best tool for the job and this thing is terrific, sitting on the floor or a table while you're learning songs or just want to thump on your bass. Great tone, no distortion. Highly recommend.

Love it. Lightweight. Great tone. Really good projection. I use it, turned way down, in a medium sized church sanctuary. I use it for bass, but it will also work well with my electric violin. Good for that too. Read up on it.

Great little amp. Plenty of volume and bass to rock a living room or bedroom. Looks cool too.

I had heard that these where great, but I was not prepared for just how great. This amp gets amazing sound from such a tiny little, lightweight, plastic enclosure, 6" speaker having what, WHAT? Now don't get me wrong, it's not gonna deliver big boomy room filling bass, but for something to drag along on vacation, or to an acoustic jam, or practicing with a buddy (not on drums) you really cannot beat it. Solid sound, compact sturdy build and weighs next to nothing. Bonus: built-in compression and overdrive, 1/8" input jack, 1/8" headphone jack, and a 1/4" line out. It would have been worth while without these features; with them - icing on the cake.

I am just a beginner and I'm using this as a practice amp in my house. It is really light and can carry a lot of sound! I'm impressed with it. If I turn the gain and master to 1/2 of it the walls of my room vibrates. But again I don't think it would work for a something other than practice, maybe for someone playing at a small pub.

Unfortunately, mine came with an electrical defect. So I had to return it. Other than that, I am impressed with everything about this amp, so much that I'll be replacing it with with another.

Buena calidad del sonido con relación al costo. El tamaño y el peso permiten moverlo con facilidad. La entrega fue oportuna.

Se escucha genial. Realmente son grandiosos estos Amplis. Llego mucho antes que lo programado.

Sorprendente. Si bien creo que el altavoz no es de 8, tiene más pinta de ser de 6 pulgadas, el sonido que saca es sorprendente. Tamaño reducido y también el peso. Un sonido muy limpio y potente que sorprende para el tamaño tan reducido que tiene. Fabricacion completa en abs para reducir su peso. Muy contento con la compra, a la vez que sorprendido.

Sur les avis influençables, j'ai opté pour cet ampli hybride, et pas du tout déçu. Puissant, un son vintage à lampe, donc bien pêchu. Seuls les effets COMP et DRIVE seraient un peu léger, mais pas du tout ridicules et peuvent suffires. Il me fera TBien l'affaire pour chez moi, et pourquoi pas les petites scènes, à voir ?? Ayant déjà possédé du Fender et Markbass en petit format, à ce tarif je le conseille vivement. Bravo VOX !

Amplificatore eccellente se vuoi qualcosa di molto leggero da portare in giro. Volume sufficiente se devi suonare in ambienti anche di media grandezza . Io l'ho sto usando con un 5 corde e la risposta con il Si più grave è accettabile. Ottimo acquisto.

Pro: unschlagbar leicht und handlich, Sound durch Tube-Technologie schön, AUX-Eingang, KH-Ausgang Contra: Vollplastik, zwar für die Größe laut, aber nicht sehr voluminös. Fazit: Für Zuhause bei mäßiger Lautstärke durchaus brauchbar. Optik ist Geschmackssache.
