How does "green priority really work? if i'm driving and can pull 50a from truck alternator or 10a from solar what is my actual charge current?

The solar has priority, so 10 from solar and the remainder from your alternator.

Can a 50a redarc dc-dc charger be paralleled  with a 25a charger to get a 75a charge rate?

Thanks for your question.

Ideally we like to match the chargers together when parallel connecting - eg 2x 50A, 2x 40A or 2x 25A etc.

Our best thought would be 2x BCDC1240D units to keep it balanced, but in theory the 25A and 50A should still work ok. There may just be inefficiencies in charging output due to the mismatch is all.

Compatible with ford e 350 van  6.8 ltr v-10 ?  van is 2008.

In general, yes, this is compatible with your Ford V-10.  This DC-DC charger has so many features that you need to be more specific about what you are interested in.  I have used several Redarc products in my van and RV builds and have never been disappointed.  They get a premium price, but it is worth every penny.

Question 4

The product literature mentions "Auxiliary battery," but not starting battery. Is this not suitable as an isolator between battery different banks ?

Thanks for your question.

Indeed the BCDC will be able to isolate between the Start and Aux batteries when the vehicle is turned off and the Vehicle input voltage to the unit is below 12.7V. The unit isn't able to 'charge back' to the Start battery or anything when using Solar, no.
