Yes! A great tool
I was diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago and since then have been curious about finding out more and understanding it. I was looking up things online and reading and then classically forgot what I had read about it. I purchased this book because of the workbook aspect of it since I find writing and coming back to something helps me more. When I got this book, it was bigger and thicker than I had anticipated…but in a good way. When I read work book my mind immediately went to a small spiral bound notebook type of book. I haven’t completed the book yet, but found it funny that when I received it I picked up a pen and started flipping through to do the actual work book pages and thought to start from the beginning. In the first couple of pages the author mentions not immediately doing the fill in pages like the reader probably wants to do. I also appreciate the fact that the reading parts are easy to read, meaning that if I zone out I can easily figure out where I was or I can focus on the short paragraphs easier. I also appreciate the fact that after the chapter it summarizes the key points. So far, I’m really enjoying it and am excited to learn the tools the book offers. This is my first book like this so I don’t have anything else to compare it to, but I would highly recommend this if you’re wanting to learn more about ADHD without overwhelming writing.

Slightly helpful
It’s an ok guide, I think most of us have tried these practices on our own. It didn’t help me however it may help someone just learning about their own experiences

Thoughtfully written evidence-based book highlighting the benefits of CBT for ADHD.
This workbook is a powerful addition to my ADHD toolkit. I’ve had the pleasure of hearing the author speak at The ADHD Empowerment Meetup Community hosted by CHADD of Greater Los Angeles and was impressed with her depth of understanding about ADHD and the various evidence-based treatment options. I was delighted that Kristen brings that same depth of knowledge to this thoughtfully written evidence-based book.ADHD is explained in clear terms that will give those new to ADHD a solid understanding of the challenges ADHD adults face in areas like disorganization and planning, impulsivity and reactivity, low motivation, inflexible thinking, restlessness, negative thoughts and low self-esteem, and mood issues. Kristen also touches upon the importance of a multi-faceted, holistic treatment plan and the recently discovered link between trauma and ADHD while also exploring myths and misconceptions about adult ADHD.I appreciated the way the book is structured to be both informative and actionable. I’ve read just about every ADHD book on the market and so many of them share outdated information about ADHD and make vague recommendations that aren’t actionable. That’s where this book differs and shines! Kristen expertly eases the reader into taking steps toward wellness by first introducing the concepts and challenges associated with adult ADHD, then explaining what CBT is and how it can be used, finishing up with actionable ways that ADHD can be treated and managed by adding CBT to the treatment plan.Kristen explains CBT in a relatable and understandable way that those new to this form of therapy will find easy to grasp and those familiar with it will still find things to learn. The use of several personal stories to illustrate and highlight various points throughout the book were a wonderful addition. As an adult with ADHD, parent of an ADHD child, and someone who works with individuals living with ADHD, I am grateful to be able to add this book to my arsenal of treatment recommendations. Appreciate the publisher providing an advanced copy and look forward to being able to recommend this book to the adults and families I work with.

I’d Get More from a Licensed Counselor
I liked the straight forward way things were put. Didn’t find the work pages helpful. A lot of repetition and fluff. My take is that the motive for writing the book was more about making money off ADHD than it was about helping people with ADHD.

Almost Perfect
I use the CBT Workbook for Adult ADHD to teach me about ADHD, and how to cope with it. I go through it with my therapist as well. Its a great book. Here's why I think so:-It teaches a lot about ADHD, and teaches how to manage or cope with it. Fantastic lessons. I'll recite some sections to my family and friends on occasion.-This book's, paper and spine, are sturdy for a book. Its tough to inflict damage on it.-This book is organized well, with different colored paged distinguishing sections. And general good progression of information. However, it has it has a major short coming. When trying to read and work through this book, it has felt the same as a trying to read a history book from school. Totally uninteresting and boring, thus making it incredibly difficult to read. Which is because of ADHD. Ironic huh? This book is best read with a second person, one who does not have ADHD, or a therapist who has experience with the book and ADHD. And either of those solutions that can be difficult to arrange. As long as you can find someone to read the book with, then I 100% recommend it.
