Size:Queen 18" Evolution Line of Mattress Encasements is made of a soft cottonlike fabric with incredibly tiny pores (1 micron pore size). The tight microfilament Evolon is a breathable, nonwoven fabric protects without a rustling sound. Nothing but pure air comes through its millions of microchannels. The fabric dries quickly, wicking moisture away from your skin. Washing only makes it softer and will not remove its efficacy after repeated washings up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Evolon fabric received the OekoTex 100 class 1 certificate, meaning there are no harmful substances, making it safe for even baby skin. It has no PVC or any other toxic chemical treatments. These components are safe for human health and the environment. The production of Evolon is environmentally friendly as shown by many health and environmental awards to its manufacturer. Sleep Safe Zipcovers Evolution is a great complement to your high count sheets. Our encasements are constructed by quality craftsmen in the southeastern U.S. This is the best high tech to filter out very small things and works so well you will not know it is there. Out of the package, this product feels coarse; however, after the very first wash, it becomes cottony soft to the touch, yet maintains its durability. Encasing your mattress and pillows as barrier, impenetrable encasement is the simplest way to protect your sleep.

Perfect for memory foam and latex toppers if you are allergic
This is the real deal, it really is one micron. I get a bad allergic reaction to memory foam and latex (break into rash), but I need a nice topper for my back. I'm so glad I found this brand. I can sleep on anything now and I don't have any allergy problems. The low profile 9-inch size is good for mattress toppers, though if they made a 6-inch I would buy that instead.

Not bed bug proof, pin holes in fabric, non locking zipper, no velcro flap
I purchased this cover to protect my baby's mattress from bed bugs. When I received it the zipper was pulled apart. Also, when I held the cover material up to the light, there are pin holes of light coming through the material. A bed bug larve can pass through a hole the size of a single stitch of a garment or mattress cover. Therefore, te claim of bed bug protection as stated on this product is unreliable. I am returning this item for full refund and not getting a replacement of the same. It also says it has a locking zipper. The zipper does not lock. Bed bug covers should have a velcro lock over the end of the zipper and this item does not have a velcro flap for the zipper lock. I do not recommend this item.

Love this material
This is a nice soft material. It does not feel like cotton. I read that bed bugs are attracted to polyester and cotton. Sure enough, when I ordered a different one that was polyester and cotton, the zipper area was full of bugs to my surprise. I have not had this happen with this one. I still have to work on getting rid of the bugs, but have few problems with bugs congregating around the zipper. I checked my mattress every few days and picked off any bugs. I bough bug tray around each one of the feet. This helped with cutting back on the bugs. After enclosing the mattress and box spring, I could not figure where they were coming from. Finally, I read on amazon that the bugs could be living in the bed frame. When I replace the frame it was like magic- no more bugs.

IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU HOT!
First of all, it's almost impossible to find just a regular zippered mattress protector without a bunch of features I don't want - don't care about waterproof, or mites or bedbugs. Just want to keep my new mattress nice. This one came the closest. I think it is waterproof but UNLIKE the other two I bought, it isn't hot. It says it breathes and it does! There is not that plastic-y crackling sound when you lay on it. It was not the cotton fabric I had hope for - feels/looks more like paper, maybe that non-woven poly stuff but it's acceptable. Sleeping well.

Great mattress cover for allergy sufferers
I love this mattress protector. The bottom and sides are plastic feeling while the top is more smooth like a bed sheet. My daughter’s allergies have definitely improved. I ended up going back to buy a pillow case as well. The mattress cover appears to be waterproof. My toddler daughter had an accident while sleeping and it pooled together on top of the cover. I will say that after having to remove the mattress cover in the middle of the night, I went out and bought a reusable pad in the event of any future accidents. The cover is not like a fitted sheet. Since it zips around and covers the mattress completely, you need to remove the mattress off the bed to remove and put the cover back on. This cover encases the whole mattress. Having to do it while wet and in the middle of the night was a pain. So if you plan to use for a child who is going through potty training, a mattress pad for the top would be great to save yourself some hassle.

Awesome product!
My allergies are year long. I try not to take drugs daily because of the side effects. Before I got this cover I was having the worst time sleeping and I was miserable. Obviously this didn't "cure" my allergies, but it definitely improved the quality of my sleep. I have a pillowcase also, that I got before the cover, and it is a dif brand; but both are must haves for people who suffer with bad allergies like I do. Highly recommend!

Eco Living Friendly ("elf") evolution mattress cover, CRIB size
I recently purchased for the 2nd time. (The 1st cover is still fine but I was careless when washing and it doesn't look great - darker & lint-y.) Eco cover feels weird out of the package but gets very soft, like a medium weight flannel fabric when washed. Not hot ( "sweaty") to sleep on.Sorry, I don't know how it fits a crib mattress.I use it to cover a Medslant folding wedge pillow when I travel, so that I don't pick up bed bugs at hotels and bring them home. It is a comfortably generous fit, a little long - but this makes it easy to put on and take off. The cover can be pulled smooth over the unfolded pillow and the extra length tucked under one end and it can be loosened for easy folding for travel.)The photos do not show construction well. There is an extra small (1.5-2"?) fabric panel, on the inside, behind the zipper-pull end when closed (just at the end...or beginning) as an extra barrier to bedbugs. Bedbugs may still be able to get in or out at this location, but it is an extra barrier and not a visible gap as many zippers have at the "top". (I hope that description is clear.)

Paper-like. We preferred the Hospitology product.
We just bought both this ELF Sleep Safe AND a Hospitology mattress encasement. The prices were nearly identical. This ELF encasement is almost a paper-like material, which I think is evidenced by people suggesting it could "tear" (like in the paper sense). The Hospitology encasement was more of a polyester feel, which I preferred, and it had neat zipper covers.
