This finely milled powder foundation in Y4 Sand matches my on the lighter end of medium skin perfectly. It comes in a nice compact with a brick of the power foundation on one side and a soft sponge on the other. I usually use a brush. My skin is mature and quite dry so I tend to shy away from powders but I wanted to try this one. I liked the soft coverage and the ease of applying. The color blended right in with my skin and evened out any discoloration. But, because my skin is so dry, it did look a little bit cakey on my face. I used a good moisturizer underneath and a silicone primer but my skin is dehydrated all the time.My sister, who has normal skin, tried it and it looked flawless on her. Like no makeup but with good coverage for a powder. I probably will pass it to her since it looks so much better on her than on me. I gave it 4 stars because, if you like and can wear powder foundation, this one is really good. It is silky smooth and has more coverage than I have seen with other powder foundations. This actually would make a great setting powder as well for those who want a bit more coverage over liquid foundations. I wish I could wear it but my skin never really takes well to powders of any kind.

This powder foundation is available in three different shades and I ordered the color “Y4 sand” which is the deeper shades even though in person they are still pretty light shades but works great as a setting powder to set your foundation or concealer. The texture is so powdery with medium coverage so just a small amount of them would be enough to set your makeup. They work better if you use brushes rather than beauty sponges. They feel a little dry on my skin so I think they work better on normal to oily skin better.

First time I wore this I really liked how it looked.Second time I wore it, I looked very cakeI prepped same exact way.Used the same amount.But I did use a brush the second time . I'm 57 and have deep forehead wrinkles.I have to be careful what I use. Honest truth I'm 57 and still have not foundThat "wonderful foundation"Sigh.. This may be perfect for you. It'd just not for me.This is my honest opinion on this free product.

I have drier skin, but I always wanted to use a lightweight powder for the summer days. This one works well for that but only if I moisturize enough beforehand. Too bad I got a color a bit too light, but it will work in winter time. I do find it very pricey to be honest. The Maybelline Fit Me powder is much better for drier skin.
