Good cheap little flashlights
Happy with the brightness, the price, and the zoom feature of these flashlights. They are plastic, but I knew that when buying so I wasn’t expecting metal. I’m giving 4 stars because 1 of the 4 flashlights didn’t work after arriving. (75%) I had read this could be an issue, and knew I was taking a chance. However, I contacted the seller, and they stood behind the product and replaced them, and in the next box all 4 flashlights worked. So just know that not all the flashlights might work on the first go round, but I’d buy from them again, since they have great customer service and were willing to fix the problem easily and quickly.

Small, easily misplaced
Durable product. Battery life and brightness is shorter than expected. I keep one in my pocket with my keys. Long term its good for kids with small hands to use. More of a novelty item. Price is good. Quality is good. Just too small for me. I have some on hand for guests who visit.

PLASTIC -not as sturdy and overheat resistant with 14500 3.7 batteries as original aluminum units
( NOTE: for rated 150 lumens you must use AA 14500 3.7 batteries)5 years ago I purchased 5pcs of a similar dual AA 1.5v/14500 3.7v battery mini lights here on Amazon.(Yes, these lights are designed to use either common AA 1.5 batteries or 14500 AA sized 3.7v.)Those little flashlights were so rugged, handy ,reliable and useful that they definitely fill the EDC role so well that I cannot live without them. With a 14500 3.7 installed you get and amazing amount of brilliant light out of such a tiny unit. They were made of a thicker aluminum stock which held up amazingly well despite the weather, rain, mud ,heat abuse that I put them thru. The switches held up great thru countless 1,000s of cycles.Out of the original 5 only one eventually failed recently after 5 years of hard service which caused me to look for spares. Unfortunately , I am a bit disappointed in this current production which I had recently purchased on Amazon. I was very apprehensive when handling the pkg because it felt extremely lightweight-- no where near the substantial heft that I experienced years ago. Opening the pkg I was surprised to find that the flashlights were constructed out of a vastly thinner PLASTIC material other than the thicker aluminum my older ones were made of. Now the lighter weight may be a EDC virtue to some, but for me the thicker aluminum stood up to the hard use and run time that I subjected my flashlights to on a daily basis. These newer PLASTIC versions just don't seem like they will hold up. Right out the box after installing a brand new 14500 battery the first light failed --it shorted out immediately giving off a rancid electrical smell--not good. Altho these will use 14500 3.7 batteries interchangeably with AA 1.5 for a brighter light ,they will over heat if left on longer than a minute or two which due to the thin plastic material is a concern .I will return these and look for ones made of aluminum like my original set were made of.

Know that these are all plastic
I bought these to replace one that the switch on the end gave out. The biggest difference between that one and these, these are all plastic, the other ones was mostly metal. Lighter yes, but I am also betting more cheaply made (to be honest, the price kind of gives that away). Brightness seems to be about the same, the beam can be narrowed or widened by pulling/pushing on the front. Can't find to many that only take a single battery anymore. These do.
