My no.1 go-to Green Witch introduction book!
I absolutely LOVE this book! Its in depth, relevant, beautiful, engaging and I would recommend it to novice or proficient. I bought everything this author has penned. Its the most beautiful library of books for the herbalist and or green witch alike! :) Karen D.

One of the few witchcraft books I actually enjoy!
Granted, I'm only through part 1, but I have skimmed the latter parts for info when I need it. This has been wonderful for helping me identify my philosophies regarding my path. As far as I can tell from her other book (The House Witch), the author is not secular, but in this book that does not seem to be an influence, which is wonderful for me! I have not tried all of the recipes, but I can say that the french onion soup recipe is dreadful. I followed it without thinking against my better judgment, and it came out sickly sweet. It calls for only cooking the onions 15 minutes, and adding 3 TABLESPOONS of brown sugar. Caramelizing onions takes about 45 minutes, and subbing in that much sugar (brown sugar is just white cane sugar and molasses) is not remotely similar. Also, for some reason it calls for mozzarella instead of gruyere or swiss? And beef stock is generally ideal for a french onion soup, so suggesting vegetable or chicken as the #1 choice is odd to me. I hope the other recipes are better, but I think it's best to tread carefully with following the recipes, and perhaps cross-reference with other recipes for the same dishes. And hey, the failed soup lead to a wonderful phone call with a friend who knows cooking well! Altogether, I highly recommend this book, even if I had a bit of a bad time with that recipe. I hope perhaps in future editions, the recipes can be fixed!

Very instructional and perfect for a newbie!
This book has been great this far, I saw multiple sources saying this was the go too for starting witchcraft and they were right! Not only is it hard cover and it looks great but it's filled with so much knowledge and it goes through it all at a great pace. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in witchcraft or just curious in general.
