I have actually been using esalon religiously since 2017. I usually get a custom color sent every 4-5 weeks, and I know how to use this stuff and dye my own hair. Recently I have noticed a lag in ship times. That's fine...I get it. About a week ago I realized my normal shipment was not going to make it in time for me to touch up my roots prior to getting professional balayage highlights that I have been anxiously awaiting.So, I see that I can order base colors on Amazon and I will get it in time. My usual blend is basically base color 4N dark brown. So I ordered 4N dark brown thinking that will do the trick.I just applied the dye to my roots in preparation for my balayage appointment for tomorrow. My roots are bleached lighter...I am naturally a medium brown but now my roots are freaking orange. My hair is an absolute disaster.I have no idea how I am going to proceed tomorrow for my balayage appointment. I am likely going to need an expensive color correction now and will have to reschedule my highlights.I am beyond angry and just have to face the music that I just have to have a professional do my hair from here on out.Esalon just lost a 5 year loyal customer and I am about to lose a lot of money. Everyone loses here.

This stuff is amazing. I love the color and its true to what it says on the box. It makes your hair shiny and soft. Its a little more expensive than some other hair color products but its worth it.Also the packaging is very well done and all of the extras that they give you inside the box are great.This is a great company that goes above and beyond expectations. I used 7 & 8 gold copper. I put 7 on my roots and mids where I had a couple inches or so of regrowth. I used the 8 on the ends around my face. The color came out very natural and blended my level 6 regrowth with previously dyed ends. I was a little worried about the tone coming out too orange, but this is a nice true copper
