This book should guide the serious writer through the equivalent of a full semester of Structured Writing. The course requirement includes required reading, practical exercise, and an open book final exam all on your own schedule and at a place of your choosing. The rest of the performance is on the learner who is YOU.

The author presents very concrete situations and tips to help solving the probable issues someone faces when writing a book.

As a technical writer for years, I had no idea of the structure required for a fiction book. As a fiction reader for decades, I wanted to write fiction. This book, particularly the practice exercises, was a tremendous help: I now have two short stories published and am into the second draft of my first novel.
