Bottom of soles crack after a year!
This is my second pair of Timberland "Pro" boots that have had the sole crack at the flexing point within a year of wearing! I wear them during the winter only, and will never buy another pair. After the soles crack they let water seep in when you're walking in snow and mud, rendering them useless! This has never happened to my 5 year old combat boots or my older timberlands. Quality has gone way down hill, especially for a product that was designed for heavy duty use! I now have to buy another pair of boots for the winter since these only got me through one. Pictures are of both pairs of boots

Not the quality boot it used to be.
Timberland quality has gone downhill over the years. When you pay a semi-premium price for goods, quality is expected. The stitching is so irregular, school kids in sewing class do much better. The fabric on the tongue of the boots look as if it was cut using a chainsaw. Very shoddy workmanship and poor quality control. Once an American made boot now out sourced to other countries. Shame on Timberland, I wouldn't put my name and logo on shoddy work. 2 stars only for color and fit. No more Timberland boots for a guy who has worn Timberlands for over 35 years for a work boot and nothing else. Now it's time to find another quality boot to protect my feet at work. A great era has ended.

Don’t buy!
Edited review!!!!!!!! After only a 3 months these boots started falling apart. Typically my husbands work boots last at least 6 months. Their customer service is also crappy. I asked them if this was a normal issue and their response was that we were out of the refund window...my question was if this was normal.... I wasn’t asking for a refund. Overall I would not recommend. I am a loyal amazon customer and I will never purchase boots from them again.

Not your father's Timberlands.
The seller was great, the boots came right away. The problem is with Timberland pro's,they are completely different shoes than in the past. They are cheap garbage replicas of the original Timberland pro's...junk!..They are half the weight, the leather cracks"if you can call it leather"and the souls sound like you are wearing tap shoes, and they are tight as hell....what a rip off...Timberland was a good boot company in the past, now they are con men.

Quality & Sizing TIPS. Read this one.
Yahoo! After over 20 yrs of wearing my previous Timberland work boots doing commercial landscaping, grounds maintenance and snow i threw them away and ordered NEW SAME PAIR!!!! Please know my 20yr + old Super COMFORTABLE pair DID NOT have any holes or worn spots ANYWHERE ON THE BOOT!!! Years of stepping on my heal to remove/pull the boot off my foot separated rubber sole from boot at the back. This new pair has a softer/gel like feel foot liner. Over time I'm confident my foot shape imprint will be great. However....I have noticed with this new boot.... You gotta wear quality work socks for total happy feet. Weird but true. Also, I love the ankle bone support and protection with the 8" tall. Easier to tuck pant legs into so critters dont climb up the inside of your pant legs.SIZE TIP. I used their Size Chart and measured my foot. As a result, following the chart instructions I ordered half size larger than my usual. PERFECT FIT. Dontcha just hate it when an Amazon order isn't the right size. I wrote a book.Time will tell regarding quality and durability of my new boots vs previous pair.

So far so good, careful with the sizing...
These are my first "classic yellow" Timberlands, and I ordered them because of their reputation, the 400G of insulation, and the good reviews they get. I picked the 9.5W to accommodate bigger socks and wool soles for the winter months since I work outside 90% of the time. At first they felt ok, but once the boots get broken in they feel very large in the toe box area. I have not wore them with thick socks and the wool soles I have, but I'm hoping they'll feel better once I do. If I don't do your shoelaces somewhat tighter then my feet flap a little inside the boots. Other than that they seem pretty good for the money and my feet are not tired at the end of the day.

Absolute Garbage
SO comfortable, but garbage. One month in, of twice a month use, the front of the sole just peeled right off. They soles are GLUED ON. That is no good. And once you see it, you think, MAYBE they should have used more glue. No stitching on the sole. Have tried to fix three times with various Shoo Goos and epoxy resins, nothing stays put for a day of work. Again, VERY comfortable. Loved them. But sole peeled off, so that negates comfort. And of course, past return at this point. Kicking myself for $10 more, should have bought logger boots with Vibram soles and stitched everything. Lesson learned.

Perfect fit true to size
I've had preveious pro series in 6 inch and these are just as good as I remember very rigid and comfortable. This is my second pair. I use these boots in the summer they can get a little warm but nothing bad and in winter they keep me warm so are great for year-round work. I use these in land/hard scaping so nothing too abusive but definitely burn through boots. My previous pair lasted me quite a while and am confident these will do the same. I wear a size 9 to 9 in a half depending on the shoe style and 9 fit perfect not too tight not too sloppy.
