POWERTEC 4 Inch Dust Collection Fittings Kit with Connectors, Blast Gates and Stainless Steel Hose Clamps for 3 Machine Setup, Dust Collection System for Woodworking Dust Collection Hose (70316)

I’ve had Rockler and powertec kits and just recently started upgrading to 4” piping to match my new dust collector. Found these were very well made and like their smaller 2-1/2” counterparts do very well.Tip: the outside diameter of the fittings is just smaller than the inside diameter of 4”pvc pipe. With a heat gun and two metal hose clamps your can shrink the pvc to be a snug fit on these allowing for more setups without the expense of the pvc adapters some sell.

So this year i finally got around to adding dust collection into my shop, at first i figured i wanted my tools in a specific layout but like all things change happens, i had pieced together a few odds and ends so that i could at least have a hose running to a single tool at a time with a y connector here and there. I came upon this as i was looking for for the thumb wheel clamps as they are just much faster to take on and off of a machine. And for the price to be able to hook up 3 machines with this kit i was amazed, just pricing out all these items and buying individually would cost 20 to 30 bucks more in some cases. glad i found this and bought 3 sets just to have them.

I was super happy when the kit arrived as I was anxious to set up my dust collection system. I installed the blast gates and checked each ones functionality prior to turning system on. At this time I noticed one of the gates housing was separated where the gate slides up and down. It appears to be a factory flaw. This is why I only gave 4 stars. I will have to try to figure out how to repair it. I did not want to disassemble the whole system to return the broken part. I could not find how to contact the seller so I am just going to figure it out somehow.

All the negative reviews I read seem to be using the product wrong. This product works for temporary use with 4" hoses as designed if you just want to run hoses to multiple tools. It also works for a full dust exhaust system. The parts are 4" OD. If you use 4" PVC it is 4" ID so the parts in this kit fit perfectly inside the PVC pipe. Use 4" PVC from the dust collection system (I am using the Harbor Freight blower with 4" Dust Deputy) outlet. Then use standard PVC fittings and 25 degree bends to run to the rest of your shop. Great product saved me a lot of time, you just need to plan your system with what is available. The connection should be on the outside for the way the air flows but it's about a 1/8" lip, so small it won't really matter when you add some tape around the joint. I am getting great suction.

Good value for money, it works, it's made decent, it's a 4" but it's not the standard 4" pipes I used, so I had to modify a little bit.Again, for the price, I got exactly what I needed

Fits SDR-35 Thin Wall PVC Pipe! Every other brand's fittings that claim to, don't. These do, though it isn't in the description. The fit isn't tight, but a couple of wraps with extreme type silicone tape will seal it no problem (or use Lexel for a more permanent connection/seal.)I wasn't expecting them to fit; I didn't even buy them in hopes they would, I just needed fittings and this was the cheapest way to get several. That they fit is a major bonus, and will save a lot of hassle and unnecessary extra expense to get my dust collection system up and running.And yes, they do seem to be well made and sturdy enough for what's required from them. Recommended if you're struggling with the nonstandards of duct collection fittings!

Thumb clamps are nice but wrist wrenching. If you have an old socket simply grind a grove in it. Same much time.

This is a product I like and hate at the same time. Sturdy build quality, easy to use, and they do what they are supposed to do. But, and this is a big but, sawdust gets into the grooves the gate door slides in. I should say the sawduct packs itself down into the corners until the gate will only close 2/3s - 3/4s the way, severely reducing suction at the machine you need it for. So, you have to stop what you're doing an dig the sawdust out of the crevices or just live with it. They clog up quickly enough that it's a real pain so I mostly live with it. They work, but I'm not sure I'd by the again. For what they cost, they should't have such a fundamental design flaw.

This is a very basic kit, but it is perfect for a beginner or mid level woodworker with a small to medium shop. I highly recommend this to simplify connecting 3 machines to your dust collection system. You will not find a better value of parts for this price. As long as you have enough hose to run from the dust collector to each machine, this is the kit you will need.

Viene completo y funcional para manguera de 4". Aunque tuve q comprar otra mas porque tengo 5 maquinas conectadas. Use tubo pvc 4'( en realidad es mas de 4" pero con las mismas abrazaderas y la pistola de calor los encogí para que se pudieran montar.

I've just managed to get this dust collector kit added to my existing collector. And I'm so pleased I'd bought it as now I have blast gates at every machine which is super efficient.
