TADPOLE Tape Cutter Combo, 3 Piece

LOVE this product!! I hesitated to purchase due to some of the reviews that stated things like: you just have to figure it out, it’s tricky, there’s a YouTube demo that helps, etc. But I NEEDED just something like this for a colored roll of packing tape so I made the purchase. YOU DON’T NEED A DEMO VIDEO NOR OTHER INSTRUCTION: I put one on the packing tape and used the other two for masking and washi tape. TA DA!! Super-easy, functional, useful, self-explanatory and GREAT! I don’t know HOW I lived without Tadpole!

I bought one back in 2022 and kept using it until now. Now I need one for a different tape size so I went back to buy more only to find out they’re no longer in business. What a shame… Their products are durable, mine has served me well since 2022 and still going strong. Hope they’ll restart or come back because I haven’t been able to find anything that works just as well as this tiny tool.

These are great to use! Surprised that it's not more well-known. Gives a lovely, clean cut line.

So I work for the big orange hardware store and we have a lot of overhead space. Filled with pallets and stacked boxes. Pretty much everyone on the floor carries a roll with them. Ever since I bought this, my life has been so much easier when it comes to taping boxes. We use 2” clear packing tape and this little attachment fits right on, cuts with ease and most of the time keeps the tape sticking up so I can grab it again. The key is to put your thumb in the proper spot. The trick is to I do keep a little tab when I am not using it. In my opinion, its totally worth it, especially if you want something that weighs less than the tape, is super compact and makes your more efficient.

Very nice product. It worked best on my masking tape roll! No more torn edges! Took a little while to figure out how to put the elastic around twice. The instructions were not clear, however, easy to figure out. I got it to work on the duct tape too, however, that requires a little more effort. However, duct tape it Difficult to tear as is! So anything to help that is good. Great videos on Youtube to help you understand the Technique required to do it well. I practiced a few times on each roll until I got the hang of it and it works well for me now! I am Happy to have them!

Works well; easy to install, easy to use and slide in place for the next use, and easy to move to a new roll of tape. Even a cute design (I think it won an award from the Utd Inventors Association!) It's nice to have clean edges on tape without grabbing scissors. Can be re-used /moved to any roll of tape as long as the width is the same. I plan to buy more. They even come in 3 sizes. My friend saw mine and wants one!

I just purchased the three-pack with different sizes and attached one to a roll of duct tape and one to a roll of masking tape. The instructions were not clear and I had to watch a YouTube video to properly attach it to the roll of tape. While it did work to cut both types of tape, I had difficulty getting both parts of the elastic to snap into the side slot that holds them. One snaps in, but the other I have to work real hard to get it to snap in. You also have to fiddle a bit to get it to the right tension so that it glides like it is suppose to. What I do like is that there are different sizes for different types of tape so you can attach them different sizes of tape kept in a draw for convenience without having a bulky dispenser that takes up a lot of room. This is good for those rolls of tape that get occasional use or when you have a bunch of different types of tape that you don't necessarily want to purchase a "dispenser" for, but want the convenience of not having to look for scissors or use your teeth. For something like packing tape that gets heavy use, I would still use the big tape dispenser just because it is easier and more reliable. I am also worried about the durability of the plastic and especially the elastic band, which will degrade over time if it doesn't break first. This will do for now until I find a better alternative.

I looked at regular masking tape dispensers that were expensive and bulky. Came across this. I like it. Allows me to cut the tape easily and still store it in a drawer without using so much space. I can also throw the roll with the cutter in a bag and take it with me. Good value. I use masking tape to label leftovers in my fridge or to label bottles of breast milk. It's easier (to remove) and less expensive than using stickers. Update: two years later mine is still working great! Totally worth the money.

Comodissimi si adattano a diverse misure di scotch. Per ora mi sono trovata davvero bene. Non so però se l'elastico con cui si ferma lo scotch durerà tanto.

These tape cutters work surprising well and are not hard to get used to. The price for this 3-sized set was very good, making them about $5 each. Much easier to use than those big tape "guns" (which I also have). They also take up very little space by comparison. Recommended.

Vor vielen Jahren hatten wir bereits eine ähnliche Konstruktion im Einsatz, die sich sehr bewährt hat. Irgendwann reisst dann das Gummiband, und das war's dann. Das muss man beim Tadpole auch erwarten. Aber bis dahin funktioniert der Abroller wirklich gut, man kann damit ein Paket allein gut verpacken: mit einer Hand zusammendrücken und mit der anderen Hand abrollen - kein Problem. Mit vielen großen (und teureren!) Abrollern hat das bei weitem nicht so gut geklappt. Zudem braucht der Roller kaum extra Platz, ein auch nicht unwichtiger Faktor. Schön wäre es, wenn man irgendwo einen Hinweis auf Ersatz-Gummibänder der passenden Stärke und Länge finden könnte, aber sonst eine klare Empfehlung wert.
