Like most people, we have a ton of wires and electronic devices throughout our house that needs to be plugged in and the average two wall outlets is never enough to fulfill our growing needs, especially in the smart home era. We normally purchase the Amazon Basics power strips, but found these GE ones for slightly cheaper and decided to pick them up. They came fully functioning and in packs of two. The power strips do not provide any special functions like emergency shut offs or power saving features, but what most important in all power strips is that it is grounded in case of electrical discharge. Our rating scale Design: 5/5 Utility: 5/5 Effectiveness: 5/5 Noticeable flaws: We can't find any noticeable flaws other than the fact that this strip is not a surge protector nor the light switch lights up when it turns on like other strips (which can make it difficult to figure out whether the strip is on or not unless you turn it on). Other than that, this strip does what it was built for. Our answers to the frequently asked questions: How many Joules is this? This power strip is not a surge protector and does not provide a maximum voltage to protect your electronics. We recommend plugging small items and nothing too large like an AC unit, refrigerator, or even a desktop for an extended amount of time. Do these have 2 or 3 prongs? They all come in three prongs. Is the on/off switch lighted? No, the on and off switch comes in a dark red color and does not light like other switches which can be difficult to tell if the power strip is on or not. Overall, a great buy if you can get them up on sale. We would recommend picking one up if you need to plug in all those electronic devices that you laying around your house or office. I recently purchased the GE 6-Outlet Power Strip, and it has been an excellent addition to my home! This 2-pack provides great value, and the 1.5 ft extension cord is perfect for reaching those tricky spots without creating clutter. Six extension outlets for normal sized plugs (vs. transformers, etc.). No surge protection. They work. The cords are very long. I'd buy them again for a simple solution.

I searched and I could not find a better deal than the two GE power strips. Now these are not surge protectors. But they do have circuit breakers in them, which is a decent safety device, especially if you’re in an area where there’s minimal lightning. The reason I like these best is they have no power on indicator light or ground notification light. I went through my house and started counting all the LED lights that are burning, and it was an unbelievable amount. You may not think it’s much but when you turn off dozens of those, you’re saving quite a bit of electricity over a years time. That’s what I like best about these power strips, “There not burning electricity 24 hours a day!” I have had no issues with mine and I have dozens.

This is a great option for a STANDARD Grounded Power Strip.. However, Please keep that in mind when purchasing that it IS NOT/DOES NOT Have a Surge Protector for electronics, etc... I unfortunately didn't pay attention to that when I purchased them years ago and now here they sit unused. Simply bc I needed them for my Craftroom Items such as a TV, Printers, Crafting Machines, Laptops Etc.. and have no other use for them..
