Only 1-tank in. So far I'm happy & +1 Year Update
I'm a shadetree arborist, and a bad one at that. I have a Stihl MS250 but it just doesn't cut it when a tree with any girth needs cutting up (we get multiple trees falling every year, typically Alders 12-20") Will be handy for Nat. Forest firewood farming. Only 1-1/2 tank fulls of use so far, but was ripping up a downed alder like butter. So far extremely satisfied with my purchase. Got the 28" bar, but will get a 24" so I have options -- once the wife-aggro for spending more $ on boytoys dissipates).Pros:- Simple to put together.- Tools/accessories seem decent.- Lots of power compared to my little 025.- First time start - easy on a cold (40ish) day- Tune out of the box seems pretty good. Will re-tune it after I go through 4 or 6 tanks of fuel.Cons (minor)- Gas cap gasket is poorly sized/design (slightly too large/loose). Have to pay attention to it walking off when tightening cap. Ordered a replacement set (gas and chain oil reservoir caps).- No wrap around handlebar. I ordered one that's suppose to work on the 038 with some minor mod'n (is for a 044/046/MS460).- Heavy-ish. I'm an old fart (60), definitely feel it after a few hours.- Felling Dog is subpar, I didn't even mount it. Ordered some with more bite.Edit:Have had it about 1-1/2 years now. Mild use. Minor but annoying issue is it leaks bar oil. I store it in a metal drip pan, then pour the leaked bar oil through a coffee filter into a mason jar for re-use. I've purchased 20" and 36" bars. Love both. I've been cutting slices of a cedar fork that are just over 36". This saw cuts through that soft wood with with the 36" bar no issues at all. Wrap around bar I tried to fab onto it failed. Really wish it came stock with that. Am still 100% satisfied with the purchase.

Well built serviceable saw
The saw required some tweaking to make it work. You will need to calibrate High/Low carb settings to get stable performance off it. Afterwards, the saw works well. Good cut, powerful machine. Delivers stable torque in vertical and horizontal positions. One important feature for me was a total low tech construction - no electronics and computers that are present in the comparable brand models. It is really a DIY machine!

Farm Mac F380! Great customer service and a good saw.
Great saw with a little effort. This is a clone of a stihl 038 magnum. I am a member of a social media group dedicated to the maker and seller of this saw neotec / farm mac and knew from research what I was getting before hand. There are some expectations when you are not paying for a brand name saw. The plastics won’t be as refined and durable but they do look great and are cheap to replace if need be. When I received the saw my brake handle was broken and I emailed the seller and was promptly sent a new one and some spare parts. The third time I started the saw the handle broke off the knockoff stihl “elastostart” pull cord. I have messaged the seller to try and get another but I tied it off so no big deal. It just doesn’t have the stretch when you begin to pull to make it a little easier. I thought I would have to tune it a little more than I did when I received it. Factory settings are 1 turn out each low and high key from factory. It ran good right there but didn’t want to idle with the rich break in fuel mixture (35:1) so I turned the idle up slightly and it runs great. I mounted a tachometer on top and set the idle around 26-2800rpms since it didn’t want to idle at the recommended 2500rpms very well due the the rich fuel mixture. I have not adjusted the high jet since the saw is not broke in yet and I am using the rich fuel mixture. I will set it around 12500rpms once it is broke in. When the saw is warm it will start first pull every time. Quite impressive honestly. It is easy to flood using the starting procedure. Once it gets flooded give it 10 minutes before even trying again because you can’t pull it once it does. If it’s warm weather I flip the choke for a second and pull it a couple times fast and then turn it off and pull it a couple times more and it starts within 10 pulls max. It doesn’t have a primer bulb so it takes a few pulls to prime the saw. I actually prefer this since a primer bulb can dry out and leak. The best advice I can give when starting is pull fast and hard. I was accustomed to a small 40cc easier starting saw and had to figure this out. I can do it every time now in one pull once the saw has been started and is warm. The saw starts easy after that initial start and has fuel in the line but getting it to that point takes a little practice. This is just the stihl saw design and no fault of the this Farm Mac saw. The saw is loud and the exhaust is unrestricted with no screen on it. So wear ear protection. The missing screen might be a big deal as some places require it for spark protection so you don’t start a fire in the woods. Check your local laws. I bought an oem exhaust and later once the warranty has passed I plan to do some mods to it and put it on the saw for a little more power. The exhaust seems to be very thin metal and the oem exhaust is very heavy and much better quality. I will just replace the cheaper parts with better OEM parts as I wear out the cheaper parts. For the money I don’t think there is a better quality option or anything even close for what you get. If you’re a professional buy professional. If you’re a homeowner cutting firewood and take care of your stuff buy this and you won’t be disappointed. If you’re a homeowner who is capable and don’t want to pay a tree service to cut a tree, this is a great cheap way to get it done. Just be safe as this can be a dangerous tool in inexperienced hands.
