SL6Y Bluetooth Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer

My beloved JBL SB400 stopped working recently. Having a LG OLED TV, I thought I'd try a LG sound bar for the inter-connectivity. It arrived quickly and it was easy to assemble. There was no optical or HDMI cable included but I had those anyway. It connected to the LG smart control easily or if you wanted you could use the LG sound link. I thought the main bar was reasonably good for dialogue but the subwoofer is poor in my humble opinion. It boosts lower mid tones and doesn't go deep enough and there are nothing to control the crossover and I suspect that too many mid range frequencies are overlapping with the sound bar giving a really unbalanced sound. Treble as well was sharp and uncomfortable to listen to at high levels. I found the sound options didn't correct the sound sufficiently and I also installed the app which I don't think added much at all. Returned it after a week and still on the look out for another soundbar.

Super bit of kit. Easy to set up and easy to use. Superb sound for programmes or movies. Bluetooth music streaming is easy plus its big and punchy bass with that subwoofer.Using with new Samsung UE55R8000, great combo. It's a big long soundbar, sits under TV with a few inches of space either sideHaven't even played with settings, probably won't have to!

I am very impressed with this LG sound bar. Both the clarity from the speakers in the sound bar and the bass from the supporting wireless sub woofer give a wonderful and engaging sound. There are various sound settings (I found bass blast to be the best) and the bass and treble can also be increased and decreased according to preference. The ARC works perfect with my LG tv. The experience of watching movies is now so much more enjoyable than my previous sound bar plus this sound bar has bluetooth so I can play music from my Ipad and phone too. When I get anything new audio I always end up listening to Dire Straits album Brothers In Arms and this LG sound bar passed with flying colours. This is an excellent sound bar and the price of £250 is also very reasonable.

With my 4k TV proud on the wall films now look perfect. But sound like someone is playing 5h3 sound to me through a cup ties to string while I listen to the other cup at the other end.No more, this soundbar is amazing, goes higher than I'll ever need it and still doesn't lose quality, bass is awesome thanks to the separate subwoofer and it mounted really easily.

The LG SL6Y is the perfect sound bar it is feature packed and customisable so it can meet your every need. I have been using the sound bar for a couple of weeks now and I could not recommend it more as the sound is crisp and it has the perfect amount of bass. This is a great deal and I highly recommend buying it. It has improved my sound quality so much I hope it improves yours!
