Great price!, excellent sound quality for smaller rooms.
Very good quality, easy to operate, sounds good in a smaller space, I personally use it in my bedroom and I'm pleased with the how well it sounds for a great price, I expected it to be underpowered but that's not the case, it's not thunderous bass so it won't irritate your neighbors like a larger unit would if living in a place where you can hear things like that. It has a really crisp clean sound, with music it's the same. Very good sound quality. I'm satisfied with my purchase. Rockville makes quality audio equipment for your home or vehicle as well. And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get something that sounds like it did.

Music to my ears . . .
I knew what I wanted but not being very tech knowledgeable I didn't know how to accomplish it . . so I asked the AI Rufus a bunch of questions and the Rockville RHB70 Home Theater Compact Powered Speaker System was recommended. I just received the RHB70, unpacked it, skimmed the instructions, inserted a SD card and I have sound. It took all of 20 minutes to unpack and set-up. Great looking, easy to operate and great sound with right amount of bass. Now I can listen to all my CDs, albums, 45s and such that I converted to digital files without having to deal with batteries, recharging or leaving my computer on 24/7. Some of the reviews I read said there was no volume but I found there is way more than enough volume. I'm excited with the unit as I sit here and listen to some great blues music. Definitely worth the price. Update: Love everything about the system (looks and sould) but unfortunately the remote quit working after two days. I tried speaking with the company but they recommended returning the system for a replacement.

Get 1-2 extra batteries.
Great 😊 buy for the price The bass don't hit as hard as I would like. But still is a great purchase. It has clear vocals and picks up most of the radio channels

Excellent speaker for its size
This is a fantastic little speaker for the price. I purchased it to use as an outdoor speaker for my deck and as the theater speaker for when we set up our projector and screen for movies outside. Tried it on first day and it's fantastic. The subwoofer adds a little more to the acoustics while the highs and mids project nicely. Much better than say your average sound bar. And waaayyyy easier to setup than a full surround sound system. Of course it's not water/weather proof but it's protected from the elements in my set up so that's not a concern. But for the price this speaker did exactly what I needed and exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to summer nights movies outside and background music on my deck.

Good sound for the price, but a couple of things keep it from being a great product.
Rockville RHB70 Home Theater Compact Powered Speaker System w Bluetooth/USB/FM I stumbled upon this speaker system while searching for an alternative to a soundbar for a TV in my office. I was drawn in by the price and the input options (and it comes with a remote), so I figured I'd give it a try. After about a week, these are my thoughts: The Good: - Decent sound for the price - Variety of source/sound input options (Auxiliary, Bluetooth, FM tuner, SD card, USB) - Easy BT connectivity - Fast (free!) shipping from seller The Not-So-Good: - The FM tuner presets. There is no way to input your own favorites in the station preset slots. The only way to add presets is to hit the scan button and the tuner goes along the entire FM spectrum and it adds stations that it finds into the available preset slots. That defeats the purpose of having your favorite stations in the preset slots because they would be taken up by a bunch of stations you don't listen to. Granted, there are plenty of slots, but it would be nice to have your favorites or most listened to slots up front and grouped together. - The color. Perhaps if it was offered in a couple of other color options including, oh, I don't know… perhaps… BLACK? Unless your home decor is Steampunk themed, the copper color of the speaker unit sticks out like a sore thumb. It's safe to assume that most home electronics are black and having something not visually stand out would be cool. - The Bluetooth connectivity chime is LOUD! Every time I connect a BT device to the speaker, a loud chime rings indicating a successful connection and there seems to be no way to lower the volume of the chime. So, be careful when going BT with this speaker with a sleeping baby around. All in all, it's good sounding speaker system for its price point. I'd recommend it more enthusiastically if some quirky things were addressed.

small box, big sound
This is an AC powered, speaker with sub woofer and radio. This not a self-powered unit. That is, it doesn’t have a rechargeable battery in it. This does appear to have stereo but both speakers are in the one unit. With the sub woofer, it’s good to put on the floor and it will fill the room with a rich sound. It packs a punch for such a small size. It’s not going to rattle the windows but it’s loud enough to listen to music with volume to spare. The depth and quality of the sound that comes out of this is like a larger stereo that cost much more. The highs and lows are there. It makes music you’ve heard before seem like new songs. It has great bass but not the boom, boom, boom overpowering that you sometimes hear. It does have BT and pairs quite easily with a phone. It also has an AUX feature, radio and an SD card slot. The kicker is this thing has a full featured remote. This works well by its self. I thought that being a single unit that the stereo sound would be lacking. But it has a spacial sound as if two speakers are spaced out. It does have the open speakers on the front and no grill to cover those. That could be a problem if someone bumps into it or otherwise hits it. But this has great sound and far greater than I was expecting for fifty bucks.

You get what you pay for. Utterly terrible defective product & even worse customer service
This is why for all electronic products I buy on Amazon I NEVER write a review during the warranty period-never right away. Why? Because way too many electronics products manufactured this century are cheaply make garbage like this speaker. For example, I still have my Cuisinart multi function "blender/grinder, etc." working perfectly that I bought 35 years ago in the late 80s. It is indestructible-I have checked out the current versions & they appear cheap & brittle. Anyway, strangely the Bluetooth would easily pair/connect to my chromebook but would NOT do so to my standard android phone. I've had some BT products NOT connect to my chromebook but ALL EXCEPT for this ALWAYS connect to my phone. So I started the RMA process via e-mail w/their CS. While timely w/their responses, the responses seemed to be written by middle schoolers w/a very limited command of English & phrase context-borderline illiterate-I struggled to understand their responses because it appeared they didn't actually take the time to read what I wrote in my thread. Finally, magically, out of stubborness I tried again about a week later and it would pair/connect to my phone randomly about a month into using. Then, a few months later, the bass subwoofer just stopped working out of the blue-I had only been using it for a handful of months. Now the speaker is useless except for maybe listening to podcasts but certainly not music. I revisited the e-mails about the RMA and confirmed replacement/repair was still under warranty. Which was technically true. BUT-and it's a BIG BUT-the QR code pdf attached to the e-mail was NOT for an always standard FREE RMA return but something internal for them! WTH? Then why would they would attach THEIR internal QR for me??? They NEVER said the cost of shipping for the RMA was on me as the customer for THEIR defective product. THIS WAS NEVER CALLED OUT CLEARLY AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. They said I could take to it to USPS, Fedex or UPS-and guess what? I went to two of them and was told the QR code had nothing to do w/a standard for all other companies that have defective products under warranty-I have NEVER paid to ship a product out under RMA for warranty repair/replacement this century-this was a total joke. The cost to mail it to them from the Southwest to the Northeast even by ground FOR ME was around 1/2 the price of what I paid for the speaker-$25 in postage or so! So right, I am going to pay that, get it fixed or replaced, shipped back on their dime and THEN it will probably stop working again, sooner rather than later from my perspective based on the two issues w/the product starting when I bought it and then again shortly thereafter. No thanks. Instead, I have cut my losses, given up on my sunk cost & pivoted to buying this product (iLive Bluetooth Speaker System with Built-In Subwoofer-iHB23B) that actually has a built in subwoofer PLUS two adjacent speakers AND immediately pairs/connects to all of my devices via BT. So far so good. But guess what? Like this speaker, I will wait months before I write a review of it in case I end up having a similar all around miserable product & CS experience like I have had w/Rockville.

This thing packs a punch!
I purchased this because I wanted something to hook to an aging PC in my hobby room. I own quite a few sound bars and a full fledge amplified stereo in my living room. This thing sounds better than my Harmon K on my master PC and the same brand on the sound bar in my bedroom. Follow the rules and place a bass producing device in a CORNER of a room and you will be shocked at the bang for the buck. It can’t compete with the $$$$ living room stereo but you get the idea.
