Great Starter Resource.
Just received both books; one for Affinity Designer and the other for Affinity photo and it's very easy to follow. Emailed the author some questions pertaining to the books content and was pleasantly surprised by the quick reply and assistance given to get me up an running with the new suite of software I recently purchased from Affinity.Books from this author is a must, the continued support is top notch. Will purchased more books from this author to advance my skills.

I Like it Very Much
This book teaches you the program by involving you in using the various tools it brings by having you make a project per lesson. That way, by the end of the book, you have not only learned to use the app by you have a lot of pretty projects to use if you want to. A win-win. I liked it so much I just bought the Affinity Publisher book from the same author. Recommended!

Absolutely beyond incredible
This author knows exactly how to write an instructional book!!! Affinity Designer is thoroughly explained. The book is beautifully put together. All of the colored pages and type are perfect. If you want to learn how to use Affinity Designer this book is absolutely necessary. There are 21 lessons including the extra Color Theory. Mr. Walters the author, gave 100% of himself for this book. I am so happy with this purchase. I wish I had social media accounts so I could help market this book. #AffinityDesignerManualI am really hoping he writes a companion book for the iPad version of Affinity Designer!!!

Clear, concise and thorough
I am loving working through this book. The lessons are grouped into bite size pieces that can be done in just a few minutes....or a few hours if you lose track of time. I've never used any kind of designer software, but have always wanted to. This book is perfect for a beginner like me. The directions are clear and thorough. So far, I haven't been stumped or lost. Thank you for such a well-written book!

One of the best tutorial books I’ve ever used! First time using the software, and it was like I’ve been using it for years! Highly recommend this book!!!

Sad Designer
Truly disappointed. There aren’t many titles for Affinity Designer. Was expecting more, not Basic Intro to Graphics. (Even covers opening an existing file and creating a New document. That's Intro to the Computer 101.) No complex or intermediate techniques covered. This book is for the beginner in the early years of a graphics career. If you are a seasoned pro, this book will not impress. This title is NOT Scott Ayler approved.

Thank you so much!
I love this because it helps me get started with Designer after a year of playing around with limited success. It's a little outdated, but not enough to matter. I like how the author takes you through the basics and increases the level of expertise. This is exactly what I needed to kick start the learning process.

Very good teacher
I'm just struggling through the book (not v good at learning stuff) and must confess this is the best teaching type intro i have ever come across. If you want to be an Affinity Designer designer, get this book. Worth every penny. Paperback is better than eBook as you can easily flip back and forth.Rex Last

Excellent for beginners
Perfect for those who are just beginning to use Affinity Designer. Clear and well written. An email address is given if you need support or to request the images used in the manual. The response was almost immediate and very helpful. I really enjoyed working through this book and the exercises. Would definitely be interested in others in the series. I highly recommend this book if you want to get a good understanding of Affinity Designer and what it can do.

A real helper for the Affinity Designer
This book does not only say "select all items and click Align" but shows you in detail how you may select (because there are different ways) but also tells you where in all these rows of icons the right one is located. The contents is in practical 20 lessons organized which would help you to learn and to do the right thing and how. The Designer is said to be the better program rather than the established Adobe software - at least not for the not too complex work. Quite a couple of things can be done more intuitive and logic than in the established software because it is not (yet) dependent on a long history of the program developments. With this book the reader learns by doing and how to handle the overwhelming number of menus. That's what helps.

Bien
El libro esta en ingles, hay algunas cosas que no entiendo, pero siguiendo el paso a paso y usando el traductor (porque lo compre en formato kindle) he podido trabajar sin problema.
