9V Roland Mobile Cube Amp power supply replacement adaptor

Bought this as a replacement power supply for my Roland micro cube. Using it with batteries is fine, but the sound breaks up after using the amp for a while. This replacement PSU does "work" I suppose - but the levels of noise (buzzing and humming) that comes with it is so annoying and distracting that it is actually of no real practical use. I removed this PSU, and tried the amp again with battery power (in case the noise was guitar related) - and...no noise! £11 wasted! I can't comment on whether this would be usable with a pedal board or keyboard etc, but the pin polarity is apparently correct as per the Roland diagram. I ended up buying a 2 pin shaver style adapter so I could use the PSU from my Boss delay unit. Cost - £1 !!!

Works on my Roland cube street with no noise.. Far cheaper than a roland adapter. Would recommend.

Having had the chance to test this adapter in a studio setting, I have found that it produces a horrible buzzing hum through the amp when plugged thus rendering it it unusable. Not sure whether this is a screening problem or not? I am surprised by this as roland are usually really consistent in the quality of their equipment. This power supply is made by a separate nanufacturer called County. I would not recommend this product as the amp sounds great on battery power. I just wish this adapter was thoroughly tested by Rolund before selling to the public. I have plugged at two separate locations. Maybe there is a specific Rolund adapter that works like a dream, but I definitely would not recommend this one. HORRENDOUS!
