This is a well made antenna, of obvious high quality. It comes with two different screws to fit variations in the antenna connector size on the MINI so it should fit any model. I did not notice any signal degradation (broadcast radio only). It's cute and functional. 2013-10-30 --Update after 1 month-- Still like the antenna. I also purchased the MINI Cooper Genuine Factory Car Cover at the same time, and to my delight the Stubby fits perfectly inside the little pocket sewn in the cover for the antenna. I have a MINI roof rack, and the little antenna does not interfere at all with stuff on the rack. I have noticed some slight loss of reception, contrary to my earlier report. Weaker AM stations will fade slightly when going through areas that are hostile to good reception (like a certain freeway interchange near my work), and at sundown when stations must reduce their power, reception pretty much vanishes and is replaced by electrical noise for the smaller and more distant stations. Powerful and local stations, no problem even at night. I have actually seen improved FM performance at long distances. Note that the OEM antenna also performed poorly with weak stations at night, so it's not really a fault with the Stubby. Highly recommended.

Cool little antanna. Great quality and price.

This is a high-quality product that looks great and functions perfectly. It was easy to install; at most you'd need a pair of pliers to remove the factory antenna. I listen to satellite radio a lot, and the stubby antenna gets slightly better satellite reception than my factory antenna. FM reception seems at least as good. Also, the stubby look is perfectly matched to the compact, sassy styling of the MINI Cooper. I'm only surprised that the factory doesn't use something like this.

No problems at all. It installed easily on my 2011 MINI convertible and didn't seem to hurt my radio or satellite reception one bit, even out on the road in weaker reception area. And it looks a heck of a lot better than the stock antenna! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I think my bluetooth cell phone conversations aren't as clear as before. But that is a somewhat suggestive thing, the phone still works fine.

I live in an area that is a distance from the major city and has a bit of trouble with reception. Not a lot but I have trouble pulling in all stations and some get fuzzy in different locations. I cover my car daily and wanted something that was shorter and more durable than the whip since I would have to remove the stock whip every time I covered my car. This worked out perfectly. Its a SOLID piece of hardware that looks great, allows me to cover the car easily without worry about breaking anything and it actually pulls in signals better than the stock long whip antennae. Oh and it looks great! Highly recommend.

I replaced the antenna on my 2009 Mini Clubman because it was broken and slightly bent. I probably forgot to remove it before entering the car wash. I wanted a shorter antenna that could safely go through a car wash and this is it. It fits perfectly, comes with a choice of 2 different length screws and provides great radio reception. Very happy with it.

When I installed this stubby antenna to replace my existing antenna, which was sun-damaged and long in the tooth, little did I expect the incredible results. The radio works very well, but all the radio shows I listen to are now about 50% shorter. My typical hour of news in the morning somehow all now happens in 30 mins. I think due to the greatly reduced antenna size, the receiver still has to cram in the same amount of radio stuff in half the space, so it has to make the programs shorter. It was an unexpected attribute of this fine, short, rubbery black antenna, which is reasonably priced, outstandingly glamorous and easy to install.
