I’ve used the matte paste for about 2 years now and the thing I love most about is how easy it is to wash off. Unlike other products, you tend to need 2 washes to get it completely off but with gentleman’s republic you just need one. I have a lot of hair so I thought I needed a lot of paste to style my hair but, you just need a finger tip amount to perfectly style your hair. With that, it keeps the style of your hair all day.

I am not sure what every else thinks of this product or how they take care if their hair but when I use this If I wash my hair will only water yo wash out the paste it leave my hair nasty . If I use shampoo and conditioner its better but still leaves my hair very very rough . I use the gel from gentle man's republic and that is something totally different . Leave my hair feeling normally after I wash it out either with soap or just water.

I love this product mainly because it doesnt leave a shine to my hair like the gel does. The matte paste works great and i love the smell of it.

I’ve used this paste for two weeks, and it’s great. The smell isn’t overpowering, and the hold is strong. It washes out really well. Most importantly, it doesn’t dry out my hair or my scalp. This paste holds more like a gel than a pomade, and I don’t find it shiny once applied, despite its sleek title. I like a shinier finish. However, it’s really effective since the hair on the top of my head is getting longer and needs a product to keep a stronger hold all day. I used Brylcreme for years, but the hold eventually wasn’t strong enough as my hair grew. I tried Suavecito, but that pomade dried out my hair really severely. Once this tub is gone, I’m definitely going to try one of their pomades.

As with all of Gentlemen Republic's products this too is excellent. The hold is incredible and it washes out like nothing. I'm not a fan of the wax paraben prducts that have a hard time washing out but this stuff is not like that. Highly recommend: low shine, strong hold, easy cleanup!

I keep it on reorder because it’s the only hair product I enjoy. Keeps what little hair I have left in place and doesn’t look all gooey. Nice and dry like the good lord intended
