Does what it says
Have bought these a number of times and I think they are great. Just put them in the plug hole and forget about them and they do their job actively for about a month. Use them twice a year and they keep the plugs clear and smelling nice!

Easy to Use Sink Sticks
I have had a few sets of these and keep getting them as they work well. I have a really sensitive sense of smell and hate the slightly damp smell that you can sometimes get from the bath tub or the wash basin and so thought I would try these. That was a few years ago now, and I put one in the wash basin and one in the bath tub plughole every month which really seems to help. They are super easy to use and, although the packaging looks a little flimsy, they have always stayed intact until needed. If you need to break them up for whatever reason, that’s easy enough. They are good value for money and I will, no doubt, be buying more in due course.

Sadly ineffective
I purchased these as I was sure I had bought them some years ago - in a retail store - and that they had worked wonderfully well. However, this time there was barely any effect at all.A day after first inserting one into a kitchen sink plughole, there was no effect at all. I actually used two more in the same sink - still nothing. My sink isn't blocked. Water drains freely. Nor do I allow food remains etc to pass down into the drain. Yet an odour rises from the drain regardless. After doing an internet search, I found several posts advising to simply pour a kettle of boiling water down the drain. I tried this and it worked right away.

Very Pleased and Relieved. Result!!
(Full Review)Once again my kitchen sink was gradually draining slower and slower and the washing machine water draining upwards into the sink before draining out, so I decided it was time to act on it.I 1st looked up all the usual big branded chemical unblockers which I'm guessing you did also, but with all the warnings and cautions each one had it kept putting me off trying it.Ones such as if inhaled can irritate respiratory system (well I already have damaged lungs so that was a no no). Don't allow to touch the sink or it can damage it. Use with warm water Only to activate or won't work. Can cause fires! Only for fully blocked drains. Tested on hair (despite it supposedly being for use in the kitchen). Not for use with X and Y and so on!!And then it comes to price as they were all around £15+ with no guarantee of working so all that just frustrated me as I didn't want to waste my money if it didn't work.I've seen these type advertised before but had little faith in them working but on this occasion decided for the small price to give it a try. If it didn't work well it's only under £4 so why not.Mine arrived fully intact with all 12 undamaged. They are delicate so I can't be sure they will always arrive in such good condition but I don't think it actually matters as long as not in tiny pieces.Simple instructions: Push 1 down plug hole. And that's it!I dropped one in yesturday and used sink as normal. This morning I entered kitchen and smelt a mild zesty lemon smell. Filled a saucepan of warm/hot water which I tipped out while tap still running then filled again to see if would drain before pan filled and what I noticed straight away was the little whirlpool at the plug hole whereas the day before there was no movement, and yes it did empty much quicker. I tried afew panfulls to see if I could raise water level in sink but no it was draining much quicker. So I was pleasantly surprised with the result. It seems to of worked very well for me.Very pleased and relieved. Now, on to them lasting 1 month. I don't think they are designed to sit in the U-bend for a whole month. Rather that the makers presume it will do it's thing then will take atleast 1 month before any particles of food, oil and other stuff will start to clog again. That is my view as I don't know this for sure but would make sense why it could still work even in pieces. They are around 33pence each at the price of under £4 so even if they were needed every week for instance which I really don't think they will be needed that often then it still works out at only about £17 per year which is the same as the big brands for a single use with unknown results. If truly monthly then that's awesome. So I think it's very much worth giving these a try 1st before trying the harsher chemicals. If it works then great. If not, pass them on to a friend and you've only lost afew quid.If they don't work then your issue may be in the drain rather than the sink U-bend which is worth mentioning.I'll now continue to use these and once I know how long they last for me I may update this review.Thankyou for reading my Full Review and if you've found it at all Helpful then please let me know.
