These cars were a ton of fun..
These cars were a ton of fun...for about 15 minutes. The drivers have a rod on their backside that slides into a hole in the car seat. It's spring loaded and secures with a click. Then, when the other car hits a button on the side of the car, the driver is ejected by the spring and the car makes crash noises. It's really cool. The cars are maneuverable. You get rechargeable batteries. The remotes work great. When they're working, these are a well worth the money. After a few minutes of adult-supervised play, one of the cars stopped making crash noises. Eh, no problem. You can still tell the car was 'tagged' because the driver flies off. Then, one of the cars stopped accepting the driver. He wouldn't 'click' into place. That's more serious because you can't tell when you've been hit. Then, before the first battery charge was exhausted, the second car also stopped accepting the driver. At this point, we stopped, boxed everything up, and returned it.

I bought these Bumper Cars for my 6 year old grandson's birthday. He absolutely loved them. In fact even the adults started begging for a chance to play. They are fun and safe. The only problem I had was that after about 45 minutes of play the batteries had to be charged and this took about an hour and a half to charge. Otherwise they would have played for hours. This is the only reason I did not give these a 5 star rating.

FUN TOY, but doesn’t last! Expected more for the price!
Gave this to my nephew as a birthday gift. He was absolutely thrilled and had so much fun with the cars for a short time. Within a couple of uses, batteries would not recharge so cars are now useless. Also, from the beginning, one of the men never ejected from the vehicle as advertised. Cute concept and started out as fun, but certainly doesn’t last long. Expensive toy for the limited time it works.

At Price Didn't Expect Something Fantastic But Not This Cheaply Made
Bought this for my grandson and his grandpa to play together. Took a while to get the cars to match to remote. One remote keeps working both cars intermittently. 3 times of being ejected and one of the guys will not stay on the car. I did read where others had that problem. Fortunately that doesn't matter to either of them. Battery life does seem to last longer than others have written. More cheaply made than I expected. This is the first day of play and with the things that have gone wrong they are still managing to have fun with them otherwise I would rate a one. At this point I have not contacted the sellers but will in the morning. Will update if theres anything to update.

it was really good. Not only my sons
I would have given it a 4 or even a 5 star, except that the remote for one of the cars is not charging. I got it towards the end of September for my 7 year old's birthday and without the remote, my children cannot play with it. While it worked, it was really good. Not only my sons, but even my brother (the kids' uncle) enjoyed playing with it, and he is over 30!

Charging difficult for age limits
So I did a lot of research to get just the right toy for my twin nephews and this set up seemed pretty good. I didn't read every single review but I certainly felt like I was purchasing a great toy and had done my research. It is a great toy, being able to eject your opponent off his bumper car is awesome, however the cars only stay charged for 20 minutes max which I understand and can deal with but here's the problem. In order to recharge the battery you have to use the provided screw driver, unscrew the backs and unplug it and then plug into wall charger. We put them together so when the boys opened them they'd be ready to go and I was really upset when I saw this charging set up. Let's face it kids will lose the screw driver and if they aren't able to do all this unscrewing by themselves they will be driving the adults nuts every 20 minutes to break out the "lost" screwdriver and charge their toy. Also one remote wants to run both cars.

Bad charging. Poor quality
One of the cars died within 24 hours. Also you need to unscrew the battery latch (with a small screw driver) each time your kid wants to charge the battery...this means your kid can’t charge the things without getting help from an adult...and every time you’ll need to find that tiny screw driver. Also, they don’t just plug in, the batteries come out and plug into the charger. The prongs are pretty flimsy.

The product itself looked fine but this came all unattached from the box it's supposed to and all the peices were floating around the orginal packaging. It looked like someone had opened, played with and returned, and they didn't even bother to put the peices back before sending to me. Since this was supposed to be a birthday gift for my nephew, I sent it back. Too bad. It looked like a fun toy, but I wouldn't have given it to anyone in the used condition we received it.

It's better to charge it up before kids open it so they can play right away.
It was a Christmas gift. The boys love it. It was great that they both could play and have a little challenge with one another.
