Really well built and works out of the box after installing 2 AA batteries (not included).
After a few months with the factory supplied remote for our LG Smart TV, I was frustrated with the frequency that I tended to push the wrong button when not looking at the remote to use it.Having used a remote with direction choices on a round selection ring with a select button in the center like this one has, I ordered it immediately. I am already sold on it and it only arrived this afternoon. The scroll wheel on the select button is icing on the cake! Even better, is the fact that it worked immediately after installing 2 AA batteries (not included), no programming or setup required. Now, as for product quality and construction, in my opinion, this one is built better and feels sturdier than the remote supplied with our TV.I don't make it a habit to review very many of my purchases unless they are really good or really bad and this one is definitely in the really good category.

Convenient control at your fingertips
I recently purchased the LG Universal Remote and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance and ease of use. As someone who has multiple devices in their living room, including an LG TV, a Blu-ray player, and a sound system, the ability to control all these with a single remote has been a game changer.Design and Build Quality:The remote has a sleek, ergonomic design which fits comfortably in my hand. The buttons are well-placed, and I appreciate the tactile feedback they provide. It feels robust and well-made, which gives me confidence that it will withstand regular use.Setup and Compatibility:Setting up the remote was a breeze. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I was pleasantly surprised by its wide compatibility range. It effortlessly synced with all my devices, saving me from the hassle of juggling multiple remotes.Functionality:The LG Universal Remote offers an impressive range of functions. Whether it’s adjusting the volume on my soundbar or navigating through the menus on my Blu-ray player, the response is instantaneous and accurate. The programmable keys are a nice touch, allowing me to customize controls for my most-used functions.Battery Life:So far, the battery life has been excellent. I haven’t needed to replace the batteries yet, which is a testament to its efficient power usage.

HAS ITS PROBLEMS BUT BUYING A 2ND ONE!
I bought one about 9 months ago. After about 8 months began to have problems with wheel seemingly become loose and not going where I clicked. Actually, minor problem. Yes, it got dropped several times. It does not have that frustrating pointer and no voice recognition. But it works. You scroll. Click. It it works then it is spot on. If for some reason the wheel is getting loose what might happen is due to you thumb clicking motion it might go up or down to the next choice so you scroll down and click slower and it works fine. It is cheap-until the tariffs. Seems it is made in Korea. So, it is not perfect. But compared to the other more expensive remotes which I have purchased with that damn pointer it is great because the other more expensive ones don’t last long and that is why I am buying another of the one I am reviewing because it works great. Cheap. And it really doesn’t drive me too nutty. I really hate the pointers that seem to be off and when, for example you are on Prime and you want to click on a movie etc and you click on the movie but the pointer clicked on something else and you might have just purchased a 21 dollar movie that you didn’t want to see then you go nuts and have to undue the mess. That is why I love this remote. Inexpensive and if it works for almost a year-FANTASTIC.

Works just fine
No programming needed . My in-laws lose their remote every few weeks. This is about the 7th one of these I’ve bought. It keeps working just fine. They have dirpped the others in the toilet , washed them , ran them over with wheelchairs . These cheap replacements work just fine

Simplifies Beautifully the Unnecessarily Complicated LG TV
For some unknown reason LG has made a TV that is over complicated with features no one is ever going to use and a remote that can make you scream it is so pathetically unfriendly in form and function. This substitute remote however is a gamechanger. If I did not find and buy this remote control I would have thrown out the TV. So LG you can thank whoever invented this substitute remote to uncomplicate the mess and frustration you created of watching programs on an LG TV.

Doesnt work as well as advertised
I am replacing them magic remote on a LG47LS5700. Out of the box, throw in some batteries and its connects with the TV. All the basic features work well. Some of the advanced features (ie. delete stations) don't work and there are a number of buttons that dont seem to have any function at all. The manual isn't much helpIts an inexpensive solution for a TV with a fancy remote that isnt availabe anymore. So its more accurate to say its compatible, with limited functionality, for all LG TVs.A solid, its ok.

It works as it should.
The scroll function is very flimsy and sensitive. It makes looking for things harder then it needs to be.
