WOLFBOX USB-C Hardwire Kit for G900PRO – Super Easy Installation!
I recently installed the WOLFBOX USB-C Hardwire Kit for my G900PRO dash cam, and I have to say, it was one of the easiest wiring setups I've ever done. As someone who isn't an expert when it comes to car electronics, I was initially a little hesitant, but this kit made the whole process so simple and straightforward.Clear Instructions and User-Friendly DesignThe WOLFBOX USB-C Hardwire Kit comes with clear, easy-to-follow instructions, which is always a relief when you’re dealing with car electronics. The kit is designed to work specifically with the G900PRO dash cam, and the compatibility is spot-on. All the cables and components are neatly labeled, and the connections are straightforward. I didn't have to do any guesswork or complex wiring, which made the process so much less intimidating.Simple Wiring ProcessOne of the best parts about this kit is how easy it was to hook everything up. The hardest part was deciding where to mount the hardwire box, but even that was made easy with included adhesive and a practical design that fits neatly in my car’s fuse box area. The actual wiring itself was incredibly simple—I just connected the hardwire kit to the car’s fuse box (it comes with a fuse tap) and then plugged the USB-C cable into my dash cam. The connections are secure and solid, with no loose ends or complicated steps. The cable length was perfect for my setup, allowing me to run it along the edges of my car's interior without too much extra slack or excess to hide. Once everything was connected, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and professional the wiring looked. No Need for Professional InstallationI was worried I might need to hire a professional to install this, but honestly, it was so straightforward that I did it myself in under 30 minutes. The hardwiring kit eliminates the need for a bulky power adapter, which not only looks cleaner but also frees up my car’s USB ports for other uses.Reliable Power SupplyThe WOLFBOX USB-C Hardwire Kit works exactly as advertised, providing a reliable, continuous power supply to my G900PRO dash cam. The kit is designed to work with the vehicle’s ignition system, so it automatically powers up the camera when the car is started and shuts off when the car is turned off, protecting your car’s battery.Final ThoughtsOverall, I couldn’t be happier with how easy and seamless the installation of the WOLFBOX USB-C Hardwire Kit was for my G900PRO dash cam. The kit is well-designed, and the clear instructions made the whole process super straightforward. If you're looking for a way to hardwire your dash cam without the hassle of complicated installations, this kit is the way to go. It's an essential upgrade for anyone who wants a clean and professional setup with minimal effort. Highly recommend!

Mostly positives and an easy install
The install was very easy with the kit and it works as advertised. If the voltage starts dropping by a fraction, the camera is shut off. The only odd thing is that the TPMS sensors on my car come on now periodically and go back off. I read that the signal interferes with the TPMS on some vehicles, but it’s still worth it in my opinion.

Wolfbox USB -C Hardware Kit - User Comment
Since I wanted to preserve the use of the cigarette lighter plug in the car, the only choice was to tap onto the battery for powering the backup camera. In retrospect, it was the correct and wise decision, as it works perfectly.

Wire Exactly as Instructions Describe
Requires a constant battery connection as well as a switched one to function properly. When you look at the product photo, you can see that there is an electronics black box package between the power source connections and the Wolfbox connection. That layout was not optimal for me, I'd have preferred the black box at the source end with shorter wires and a nice long output cable. My fusebox is between the front seats and I didn't have a long enough output cable to go from there, across to the front pillar, up above the windshield and from the pillar to my mirror and the Wolfbox. I had to hide the black box under the dash below the front pillar to my right before there was enough output cable to allow me to properly hide the wire.Take a look at the tips on wiring this on the Wolfbox site, particularly getting fusebox info here: (https://fuse-box.info/) Get yourself a decent digital volt meter, I recommend the ANENG. You are going to want to determine which side of the blade fuse socket in your car's fusebox delivers the 12v. You want to make sure the power passes through your piggyback blade fuse before it goes to the output of that connection. If you put the blade fuse in backward it will probably still work to power your Wolfbox, but it won't be protected by the fuse. Even worse, whatever the piggybacked fuse was protecting in your car may go unprotected if this is done wrong. Imagine the damage and expense if you allow a high current draw to burn up the info-tainment processor.

Everything needed for permanent install
To do a permanent install you need a power cable and--with most newer vehicles--some kind of fuse tap to get power off your fuse block. This kit includes a generous length of wire, multiple fuse taps (for different sizes), a handy tool to pry trim or push wires behind it and my favorite part, a little box that will automatically shut off power to the camera if the battery voltage drops below a certain amount. This feature is a necessity if you intend to wire the camera to use the parking monitor feature which requires a constant 12V source. To prevent the battery from being drained while the vehicle is parked, this little device monitors the battery voltage and, when it gets low, stops the camera from drawing any additional current until the voltage goes back up.The quality of the parts is good--as I have experienced from other Wolfbox equipment I have bought. This is a good purchase in that I didn't have to make up any cables of my own nor did I have to find fuse taps, etc. My cam is installed permanently and cleanly thanks to this kit.
