It fit perfectly into my Andersen sliding patio door. The throw of the handle is shorter and it took a while to resist turning the latch too far. There isn't the safety catch to keep it unlocked while open. I am okay with no safety catch because the safety catch tends to get unaligned and makes the latch harder to use. However, my wife tends to knock the latch down as she goes out the door and locks herself out. I am good with that, but she was rather unhappy when she ran around to the front of the house in her nightgown to ring the doorbell. I would definitely buy it again if I have to replace the lock on my other patio door.

Replaced the old part no problem, easy to adjust and fit. NOTE: you will need to remove the "pin" from the part on your door frame. So glad I didn't have to shell out 60 bucks for a piece of stamped steel!Update - I was so happy with it I ordered another. The second one's package was crudely taped shut and was clearly a returned item.

This is a great product, easy to install and works better than original Andersen equipment. We had trouble with our Andersen lock on our 200 series perma shield gliding door for years -- it never worked well. I was about to buy a replacement part from Andersen which costs around $60 and includes a new lock receiver. Fortunately the line was disconnected and I bought this part instead. Installation very easy and quick. Simple adjustment -- we can now lock and unlock the door with one finger.

So when I typed in the replacement for my Anderson doorwall, this came up.It is not a replacement.It is built well enough for what it is, it just is not what I expected, based on how I searched.

I bought this along with the thumb latch. Fit perfectly and in less than 5 minutes. Now I no longer need a wooden block placed behind the door to keep it locked. Replacements sold everywhere else was three times the price!

Fits and works well.. You will have to remove the receiver portion from the frame and remove the protruding piece used with the Anderson latch for locking. Easy enough to remove

Perfect fit the only thing I had to do was remove a little pin on the lock receiver, after that it works just as good if not better then the Anderson brand one it replace and at 1/3 the cost.

We have an older Anderson sliding glass door and the lock has been through a lot. I bought this replacement hoping it would work as well as the original. I installed it easily in a matter of minutes even with my five year old's "help", and it's like new again. This door gets a lot of use to say the least so time will be the final test but so far so great! thanks
