My son absolutely loved and adored this track—despite its faults—for a solid month, before it literally fell to pieces.For starters, even though the description insisted it would work, out son’s Thomas and Friends trains didn’t fit the track. It was not possible for a toy engine to pull car behind it, without the train eventually buckling and falling off. But this was easily forgiven, because our son would be even more careful than usual, moving his trains around the track. It helped that the set included some wooden figures and train cars (nevermind that one of the cars lost a set of wheels inside a week). Within a month’s time, the wooden panel which the hinges were connected to completely separated from the rest of the box, when my husband closed it with a couple trains inside to put away. I would give it one star except that it filled our delayed son with absolutely joy, even if it was fleeting.

My toddler loves trains. We purchased this to take with on a car trip. It arrived and the box didn’t close evenly which made the tracks not line up. The latch also was dented in and screwed on crooked. My husband took off the hinges and replaced with new ones to straighten the box out. We are replacing the latch as well. For $20 we got what we paid for, it kept our son busy while out of town. FYI His Thomas trains didn’t fit very well on the tracks. He ended up just using the trains it came with. As far as the tracks and printed railroad scene it is super cute and seems to be of decent quality. We had no problems with that part of it. It is really just the construction of the box that could use more attention.

Nice little take-along train set. I like that the tracks are inset and any regular size train can fit esp Thomas the train Trackmaster trains. Con would be that when it is opened on a bare floor - it will slide as child runs a train along the tracks and causes all the signs/etc to fall. Needs some felt padding along box edges to prevent this - we glued our own on. Delivery was fast.

This is a gift for next week..I am so glad I opened it before my grandson as he would have been disappointed as me :/ Very poorly made..tracks do not fit the cars well, they get stuck and really need to push them through the curves, the boards are unevenly put together so the tracks are off in center, rails need to be deeper. Though I love the idea, it will not provide good play, just frustration. I have not decided if I will return..I might just take it apart, rehinge, and glue wood tracks on it. I did read reviews before buying and did see few negatives as mine but most were good..maybe a handful of defects??

While this was very cute, in theory, it is very cheaply made. The wooden handle was broken when it arrived, but no big deal, it still had a rope handle. Within 20 minutes of my son opening this for a birthday gift, the box broke. I am extremely disappointed because I LOVED the idea of trains he could bring with him anywhere.

Just enough train set to keep my toddler entertained. He isn't ready to build his own track yet. I love that he can take this wherever we go. My only complaint is that the handle wood broke off the first day and the outer design came scratched. These faults did not hurt the overall design or use. Not too heavy for my son to carry by himself. So far, he has not been able to dent the box by standing on it...and yes, he has tried.

I really loved the concept of having a track my boys could travel with and store their trains in, unfortunately we never got to take it anywhere because the latch broke the same day they opened it for Christmas. Maybe I got a fluke but either way be extremely gentle with the latch if you do decide to purchase.

my toddler loves this. we use it a lot. I love that the pieces pack up inside it so they do not get lost. I love that we have a mini train table that does not take up a ton of space. good quality. Would recommend.
