How do these compare to frogg toggs?

I just got mine. Different material, this is much thinner, thinner than a hand towel by far, like shirt weight material, and isn't quite as cold as Frog and doesnt hold as much cool for as long as the Frog but they do work to keep you cooler.

is it necessary to soak it? I just want a towels to clean my sweat. Would it work in that way?

You don’t need to soak it in in water. They work just fine as sweat towels. I use mine just for that purpose in the gym because they are designed to absorb and cool. Just wring and snap if you’re a heavy sweater

How long does it stay cool

Generally 3 or 4 hours before it needs reactivation depending on humidity and temprature.
