Dyson V7 Trigger Cord Free Handheld Vacuum Earplug, 12 cm, Multicolor (Grey/Red)

Cheaply made but expensive to buy. This handheld vacuum cleaner is almost impossible to empty. The hinged bottom just will not open. Therefore have to dismantle the whole vacuum cleaner to get it emptied. Terrible design.

For a plastic bodied machine it is well made. The suction is very good for such a small device - better than many uprights but lags behind Dysons own uprights. It has two power settings. On the lower it runs continuously for up to half an hour or more. On full power I get around 11 to 13 minutes. Of course with things like sucky vacuum cleaners one tends to use maximum suction - probably because this machine is used to get to dirt in cracks like between carpets and skirting boards. or down between seat cushion and squab in cars one needs all the suction possible.The most impressive part of the machine is when you use the carpet beating attachment; it is astonishingly effective. The charger Dyson provide is a meaty strong looking device and the cable from it to the charging port on the device is equally meaty - it could handle 20 A at 12 volts sort of meaty. If fully flat - takes around 1.5 hours to fully charge.So far it has worked much better and for longer (on a charge) than my other cheaper hand held battery powered cleaner. It is expensive but if the machine lasts two or three years, and people assure me it will, then it will be a good buy.

My wife loves it for nooks and crannies and I think its great for the car. Couldnt rate it for stairs as we dont have any now but cant see that it would be anything other than good.If I have a gripe I have to say the battery doesnt last long if it is on full power and a longer lasting one would be a great advantage.

Bought a “new” product only to find it has clearly been used before: box has been opened. I didn’t spend ~£300 for a second hand item. Amazon support organising a refund but should not have been offered as new - very frustrating.

This replaced a machine purchased in 2011, and is considerably better. I had hoped to use the Dyson holder I had but you need a new one. Very pleased and would recommend for a handheld machine with lots of picking up power.

This is the second Dyson V7 I have bought, including one which I bought for my daughter when she moved into a new flat, she too loves it! I would recommend the V7 for its lightweight and compact stying and additional heads for cleaning soft furnishings and fabrics.

FYI: V7 is approx 3mm wider in the base so it does NOT fit the wall mounted base or the attachments (that you may already have bought). You have to buy them all over again. This is a good vacumn but you have to pay for being "brand loyal".

Item was posted in it's original box without any additional packaging by the seller. It arrived with a crack in the main cylinder. I was advised by Amazon Customer Service to file an A-Z claim. This is still unresolved after more than 30 days.
