I can't give the product high ratings because I the stain on my boat dock wood has only been on for 2 weeks. It did take 2 coats. It was easy to use with a brush and dried quick, but may have been do to low humidity, Over all for now its ok

Hard to find.

I know “Hot Cocoa” should have been by first clue, but the pictures make it look like a brownish charcoal. I was hoping the color would look darker once it dries, but “Hot Cocoa” is just a dark brown. Not a grayish, blackish, brown like the picture shows. The paint itself seems good quality.

I used this for the uprights around my deck and stairs that are 2 years old and in good shape. First coat looked good until it started to dry then appeared semi transparent. I ended up having to apply 3 coats for a uniform solid finish. Not a big deal unless you are doing alot of intricate detail work as I was in trying not to get it on top and bottom rails as well as the stairs. As far as longevity we will have to see. Id imagine as thick as the finished product was it should last for quite some time but I doubt Id use it again just because of the amount of work/coats it took on my deck that was pressure washed a week prior.

Purchased light walnut. For some reason It only looks like color on a paint sample (piece of plastic, side of can). On the dock it looks close enough in afternoon sun, or shade, but in direct sunlight it has a pinkish reddish tone, more like redwood. annoying. (Especially after using 6 bottles). It toned down a bit once it cured. Oh well. But it was nice and thick which is good for an old dock that had cracks. It took us a lot more paint than indicated on the bottle, but that seems common for paints. Maybe on a new, less absorbent wood it would take less. Will see how it holds up to winter rains and summer heat and sun. Would have given 4 if it hadn’t been for the color issue. (5 if it holds up)

The product (deck stain) applied easily and I applied 2 coats and have enough left over to apply a 3rd coat next year. I cannot comment on the longevity as it has only just been applied. Not sure what is meant by sheerness but I can say that it applied evenly.

Nice thick finish, I feel it gave me good protection. I’ve used their translucent stains for years with great success! Will purchase again if I receive the same success as my past experience.

I love that this is in a reusable container. After I finished painting I just closed it up and it was ready for the next time. Much better then the cans.
