Worth The Money
I am rating this knife as a $20 purchase. The grinds are all even on the cutting edge, and on the top (long) swedge. The blade is properly centered when closed, and locks up appropriately when I flip the metal protrusion on the back of the blade. This knife is not spring assisted, but it locks up well when I flip it, and the liner lock mechanism holds everything securely; no vertical or horizontal blade wobble. All the screws are flush with the handle material. The blade fits into your pocket in a "tip up" position, and is not adjustable to a "tip down" carry option. The handle materials are solid and feel good in the hand; G10 or something similar. There are no factory marks, nicks, or scuffs on this knife; looks very clean. The pocket clip is sturdy stainless steel (won't bend easily), and is connected to the handle scales with two torx screws; all the screws are torx on this knife. The steel says D2, which seems like a steal at this price point. The quality of this knife is on par the the myriad of Ganzo/Firebird, Kershaw, Byrd, CRKT, Schrade, Sarenmu, and other big name value blades that I own. This is not a light knife like my Byrd knives, but it does feel a little lighter than my Ganzo blades (soft data, haven't actually weighed them). This knife is a good value at $20, and a great value if it actually has a decent D2 blade.

Nicely made EDC blade.
The fit and finish a pretty good overall. Everything lines up and the blade opens smoothly and locks up very solidly. The overall ergonomics are great and it fits my hand very, very well. It's almost an exact copy of a ZT knife I own and that I use a lot. But it is not the same caliber of material and the fit and finish are not quite as good on this knife. The detent is a little on the stiff side and the edges are not melded like a higher priced ZT.. But neither are close to a deal breaker at all. Plus those are the only two minor things that are off on it over all. Considering it has a D2 blade that takes a wicked sharp edge easily plus good G10 handle and even phosphorous bronze bushing. It would be hard to find a better made knife for the money I think. I know knives well as I have been collecting almost 50 yrs now. I certainly would recommend it too anyone needing a good working knife.

AMAZING QUALITY
THIS KNIFE IS WAY BEYOND EXPECTATION!!!!! I am knife collector, first and second I didn't own a clone or a copy of and of my customs, or midtechs, that come from big name makers or lines, like ZT or MicroTech..etc...until now.. 3rd, I never write review feedback postings. I made an exception in the case of the Eafengrow knife line. I thought for the price I would buy a few and see what the knives were like. The design and quality represented in the knives, impressed me so much I had to share it with others. If this knife had a big name maker laser logoed on the blade, and a, made in America...USA..on it, Sold by one of the big name knife dealers. It would cost $295-$395 US. as a midtech. The grinds are emacultae A+..and the machining of the G10 is evenly machined with 3d profiling to execute chamfers and fillets. A+ The blade grinds are 3d cnc ground THE BEST I'VE SEEN, even compared to known custom makers who have built midtechs with blades that are machined ground, with a much higher price$$$. This Eafengrow knives that I have received are absolutely stunning and to think that the knife delivered is $27.00 blows my mind!!!!! Really!!! Yes there are a few minor things that could be executed with a bit more detail, but on theses knives it would be a bit hyper-critical. One of the Eafengrow knives I recently purchased is so good you would think it was made by the original knife maker. Now I will say I don't think the blades ar really D2, regardless the 400 series ss works well, the blades are sharp and the finial edge grinds are perfect A+ You will not be disappointed!!!!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? THIS ONLY COST ME $19.99??? INCREDIBLE!
I have collected small knives for a long time and have at least 30 knives from Kershaw and Kizer and Spyderco and others, and THIS Eafengrow knife is every bit as good as any of them. I wanted the ZT knife that this one is an 'homage' of so I thought Id buy the Eafengrow version to see how I'd like it FIRST so I wouldnt have to try to trade or sell off the ZT. Imagine my surprise and shock when I opened the Eafengrow box and out came....0_o a fantastic knife. NO blade play....TIGHT....centered....unblemished....un-sharp....yeah. The factory edge was....lets not mince words....it SUCKED......HARD. So, out came the Lansky and in about an hour I had a shaving 20* edge going and..... The D2 is HARD....plenty hard to keep an edge....I will have to see how it holds up. And I dont want or need the ZT

Sleek, sharp, and sturdy.
The knife has a wonderful light weight balance to it, and it's very ergonomic and feels great to hold. It also came exceptionally sharp out of the box, and holds an edge for me quite well. It looks longer than it actually is thanks to the design itself, which is a plus. This is the second one I've ever purchased (I lost my first one unfortunately) and I would gladly buy one again.

very good value and feels and acts much better than the price suggest
I did alot of reading before I decided to spend 20 dollars and I learned alot. this knife is listed as d2 which has been the matter of debate online and i have seen test showing differing results. of the ones i have seen say 420 stainless and other some chinese equivalent of that and others showing CR12MoV steel which is actual international commercial grade d2 but slightly different from US formulation. either way d2 or not for the money if it is as hard as they say and sharp it doesn't matter and it appears to be both of those. of the blades i have that are known to be between 58 and 59 HRC this one wont scratch them but they wont scratch it either indicating roughly equivalent hardness. that is a good sign at least as at that hardness being any modern blade steel from 8cr14mov to a 440 grade or CR12MoV or D2 its gonna cut well regardless. these grades of steel at that hardness will only effect things like edge retention, it'll cut like mad regardless. the sharpness of the factory grind is more than adequate but is my first point of complaint. the bevels are not equal in angle and length of grind. this is something that no one would care about at first but the more you wear out the edge over time from use and sharpening its gonna get worse and worse unless corrected early and I'm hesitant on whether I should send it back or try to see how it pans out. the other only complaint is the tip up carry. tip -up versus tip-down carry is only relevant to personal preference and nothing more and I happen to not like it but obviously it didn't stop me from purchasing it. I would like to see the ability to reposition the belt clip to tip-down carry is all. now all the good stuff. *its very ergonomic. for me G10 is the only handle material I really like other than wood. metals are always too slick and get very cold or hot making them uncomfortable at times when either very hot or very cold out. G10 always seems to have a neutral temperature regardless and is grippy enough to give good grip without hotspots and smooth enough to not grab things like rubber can or other rubbery overmolds. *its has a pleasing heft to it. I dont like overly light or skeletonized items it looks terrible and gives a feeling of not only cheapness but weakness. this feels as sturdy as it has proven to be. however if your of the variety that tries to cut everything down to the nearest ounce and live high-speed and lightweight it may not be the lightest around. *its handsome. I have heard its a modified variation of a zero tolerance design and frankly to me it looks different and much better. then again i have never liked ZT's knives both for being over priced and generally ugly looking. *ball bearing pivot pin. i have only ever had Teflon and other quality pivot materials from other companies so it was a surprise how smooth it opens. it allows the blade to be well centered and heavy yet almost opens like it's an assisted opening knife. it isn't the least bit gritty either. very smooth. *value for money is very high. even if it isn't an international grade of D2 steel or a chinese 440 steel clone or something its very hard and very sharp. its apparent hardness alone means it cant be a 5cr13mov steel because they cant harden that high so 410/20 steel and 5cr13mov steel is out which leaves only common grades that regardless of type at this hardness are going to perform great for most people just fine. combine these things for a 20 dollar knife an itd is just worth it i think. i have broken intentionally or flat out thrown away similarly priced plastic knives that are not even comparable to what this knife gets you. the only knife i can say for sure is in a similar price range and offers crazy high build quality and value per dollar is something like a Buck 110 when you can find them for 25 dollars. most knives i own that feel as well built and perform as good cost alot more.

Solid build quality, Good blade material and hardness, but a few couple problems
Solid build quality, Good blade material and hardness, but a few couple problems keeping this knife from being a quality knife. Pros: comfortable handle, looks good, great flipper, good blade material, great price Cons: I have purchased 2 of these at different times, both have had the following problems. -Blade centering in the handle is rather off. for a knife claiming to be a quality knife this should not be the case. -edge grind is uneven. I managed to fix the problem after an hour or so at the whet stone but still, the edge grind should be symmetrical on both sides of the blade. on both blades, this resulted in duller sections in notch above the flipper and the pronounced curve approaching the tip -Side to side blade play in the locked position. it's not very pronounced, I fixed it by tightening the pivot screw but without the proper tool this scratched up the blue finish. not bad for the price, but could be better. would I recommend it? Sure, if you like the look of the knife.

Excellent knife that can stand on it's own with any knife.
WOW! What can I say about Eafengron that I haven't said in many previous reviews? These are excellent knives in every single regard. I paid less than 20 bucks for it and I would easily pay more than that if I had to just to get this beauty. The fit in my hand makes the knife feel like it was custom fitted to my hand. The crisp, almost assisted feel of the blade opening is something to regard, the overall balance of the knife is stunning. I still can't grasp that I paid less than $20 for this knife. The blade maintains a great edge for quite some time before sharpening is required. This knife instantly became my EDC, replacing my Benchmade Barrage, another fine knife. I found out about Eafengrow late in my knife collecting life and that's too bad but I have no problem making up for lost time, these knives by Eafengrow are in general tlhat good.
