Q: Can this be used as heat protection on a wall behind a wood burning heater

Use for heat protection is one of the stated uses for the product. However, I would certainly take all of the other factors into consideration-- like how far apart are the heater and wall, how hot does the heater get, how long is the heater used in one setting, etc., etc.

Q: is this ok to fasten 2 post behind oil lamp/ globe that is in a pot hanger attached to a treated post ? to reflect/protect glass/flame?

I think it would work, but it might not look that awesome. This is a thin piece of flexible foam, it has adhesive on one side – black and super sticky. And then a thin layer of silver, heat reflective material attached to the other side. Hope this helps!

Q: What about removal? I want to use it behind my outdoor griddle on vinyl siding. Will it peel off easily?

It is super sticky stuff and leaves a residue. I had to reposition it and it was difficult after only a few minutes on the underside of butcher block countertops. I utilized the product for heat shield for a dishwasher.
