Fantastic, melt old rubbers the make new ones
I bought cheap plastic hospital syringes and they work alright as long as you shoot the mold in fast. These things are great.

Not bad at all but, Aluminum molds are still far superior.
B+The baits come out well, however they are a bit dull due to having to use oil to lube the mold with. So if you care about the bait being shiny then this isn't for you. I don't mind this as much in a craw or creature bait. Aluminum is still the way to go if you want perfect baits as you don't have to use oil to lube aluminum and they come out shiny and without sticking as these stone molds can do if not enough oil is used. I would still recommend these if you are a beginner to see if you like the hobby. I would also suggest getting a mold that has more than 1 cavity like this one as the single cavity ones are similarly priced and, if you do the math, to make as many in one shoot it would cost you as much as just buying a multi-cavity aluminum mold. So up to you.Catching them on sale would be the way to go.

Still learning, but it works
(Completely a beginner to soft plastic making)First and foremost, it works well. I bought the injector from Amazon as well. You have to figure out how much plastic it takes to melt in order to fill the mold. You also have to figure out how long to heat the plastic before it burns. Use the mold oil on the mold, otherwise the lure will come out dull.Tip: pour the melted plastic into the injector instead of sucking it up into the injector. This seemed to work better as the name of the game is speed when it comes to injecting the mold. The plastic will begin hardening inside the injector.Pour a little extra into the mold when you think you are done. As it cools it pulls more plastic into the mold. All in all I'm happy. I will buy more molds, I think in order to make it worth your time you need several.CAUTION: To state the obvious.. the plastic will be extremely hot and will burn the mess out of you... learn from my mistake, wear protective groves!5 stars for the product. It just takes some work to figure out how to use it well. If you mess up just reheat what you started and try again. I haven't fished the lures yet.Happy fishing.

Needs an injector
My 14 year old son got this for his birthday as he’s made a hobby of making these soft plastic lures. He could not get the soft plastic into the hole provided for it to be distributed evenly so requested an injector. Seems to be good to go now.
