I use the Onefavor SmartMedia Cards Reader pretty regularly to access old SmartMedia cards, and it’s been consistently reliable. It’s true plug-and-play—no drivers needed—and my computer recognizes the cards right away every time. Transfers are smooth and stable, which makes pulling old photos and files quick and stress-free. The reader itself is compact and lightweight but still holds the cards securely, which is important since these older cards can be delicate. It only has USB-A and it’s obviously a niche device, but if you work with SmartMedia cards often like I do, it’s an affordable and dependable tool to have.

Easy to use in windows 11. Computer recognized the reader without having to install any drivers. Allowed me to read super old and unique camera cards that I bought at an auction.

It worked great for a bunch of different kinds of cards! And then after just a few weeks and 4-5 uses it completely stopped working and now it won't register any cards being plugged into it. I am so bummed! EDIT: I expressed my issues and the seller offered to send me a new one free of charge. They suspected that the cord was the issue and I believe they were right because I tried the new cord on the old reader and it worked! It's still finicky so I'm nervous it'll break again, but at least now I know that replacing the cord is an easy fix. Also I appreciated their quick customer service :)

Delivered on time estimated and received in great condition. Product enclosed in new, un-opened packaging in excellent condition. Plugged in media we bought it for (SM card from camera, it fit right in) and was immediately recognized by computer we do our work on. Excellent buy, great value and very smooth transaction. The iPhone adapter does not work. I uploaded 4 pictures and it has not worked since. The power light is on, but the light for the SM card never lights up anymore when I insert it. The card reader WILL NOT read the card whatsoever. I purchased another adapter for my Mac, but it still will not read it, and the light for the SM card still will not light up.

Does it's job in reading a large variety of memory cards I have accumulated, great to keep in my bag when I want to transfer my photos to my phone or computer.

If you find yourself in a situation where you want to access photos that you may have left on a card from and older digital camera, you might discover that it's harder to find a compatible memory card reader. Most laptops, hubs, and docks only support the SD card format nowadays. That's why it's nice that this versatile card reader is compatible with SM, CF, XD, MS, as well as the usual SD (but not microSD). It works pretty well, although it's not super fast at only USB 2.0 speeds. For occasional use with your older digital camera hardware, I'm happy with it.

Useless. Won't mount the disk. Tested on another device and it worked fine there. False advertising.

Versatile since it reads almost every card made. Had some old Compact Flash and Smart Media cards. Plugged in the reader then a card and found out the contents easily. Recommended.
