Bed bug infested - DO NOT PURCHASE
I purchased these sheets in Sep 2018. I have seen a couple of similar reviews with this same experience during that time, so maybe we just got a really bad fluke. But this was absolutely horrifying. Didn’t wash them before I put them on the bed, cause I was too cheap to pay to to wash em, I’ll never make that mistake again. After we noticed some itching, decided to wash them to see this. The sheets them self were good quality, but this has been a very expensive, disgusting, horrifying purchase. Don’t buy these. Let this photo make you want to throw up and look elsewhere.

Not a good buy
These sheets feel soft when they arrive and also after the first laundering. It was fun to put these new sheets on the bed. Then came the problems. The sheets are so thin that the bottom sheet can't possibly stay flat, so the result is a wrinkly bed all the time. Then they started to pill. I washed them in cold water and dried them on low, but still they pill. There are tiny crumbs everywhere, including on the bedroom floor. These sheets are not worth buying. AmazonBasics does not mean Amazon's Best, or even Mediocre.

The material is super soft, and I love that
The material is super soft, and I love that, but the sheets are so "flimsy". I bought this set for our king size bed and the sheets do not stay "tight" around the mattress. Despite the fact that the sheets have deep pockets. When I go to make the bed, the fitted sheet is all wrinkled and I literally have to pull it taut. For you ladies, I grab it the way we used to grab our panty hose as we put them on. I'll grab the sheet with one hand, then with the other and so on until I'm able to pull it taut and all the wrinkles are out. If the sheets are really bad, I literally have to strip the bed to make it so it looks at least half way made. They were cheap, so this proves the old "you get what you pay for" adage. I'm not returning them, but I'm looking for other sheets and these can be an extra set in case of an emergency.

Go With A Different Brand
I have had these sheets for 6 months and they are already worn and pilly. The top sheet is so rough that I can feel the pills against my skin. I am so disappointed with these sheets. I should have went with the Utopia brand or these from Sweet Home Collection 1500 Supreme Collection Bed Sheets - PREMIUM QUALITY BED SHEET SET & LOW PRICE, SINCE 2012 - Deep Pocket Wrinkle Free Hypoallergenic Bedding - 4 Piece Sheets - PAISLEY PRINT- Queen, Gray because they continue to feel soft and comfortable. These two brands of sheets I have had for several years and they have held up wonderfully.

Great price but not worth the purchase.
These sheets seemed too good to be true at $19.99 and due to my being intentionally thrifty, I decided to give them a try. You see, sheets that are considered better quality are pretty expensive and can easily cost between $60 and $100. I'm just not a fan of spending that sort of money on what seems to me should only cost around $20. However, I've learned my lesson. I still have these sheets as a backup but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, especially people who sleep hot. They're relatively smooth to the touch and seem harmless but they sure do reflect body heat. I thought they would be better than the 100% cotton flannel set I bought but nope. What's worse is the sheets really aren't appealing to look at. Not at all. They are a semi-see-through fabric with an ugly shade of tan/taupe.If there's one thing I've learned about sheets and bedding it's that high quality, 100% cotton sheets and bedding make a world of difference in how well I sleep. If you sleep hot, don't buy synthetic sheets and bedding. Buy cotton. Until I recently purchased Target's Threshold 400 ct Performance set I was in the dark on the difference. I also bought a 100% cotton and began using a regular down comforter instead of a synthetically filled comforter. This changed my world and I sleep cool every night. It used to be that the synthetically filled down comforter just laying bunched up next to me would be enough to keep me so warm that I'd wake up at 3 or 4am. Now, I can sleep with the down comforter ON me, it seems, just about any day of the year. So, don't do microfiber if you sleep warm, otherwise, this may be perfect for you.

Great for hot weather!
Over the past year I've purchased at least six sets of sheets. I recently discovered Pinzon by Amazon, and their flannel sheets are wonderful, as are the 400 thread count. However, I have yet to be able to configure the right combination of light weight sheets and a light blanket until I found these microfiber sheets. They're different, ok? Don't expect hotel quality sheets. But wow, are they cool at night! I read lots of reviews and made sure to wash them in cold water, dry on low and remove from dryer promptly. They came out perfectly! I have a deep mattress with a gel/foam topper, and the sheets fit perfectly. They do make a sort of slippery sound, but it's not bothersome, just different. I'm here to get another set today. Wish I had tried them sooner.ETA 11/16/19 - I'm purchasing my 3rd and 4th sets of these sheets today. One will be a gift for my mom and dad. Over a year later, I've had no issues at all. They continue to wash and fit perfectly, and are easily adaptable for weather changes. I add a flannel top sheet or blanket when chilly. Can't be beat for under $20 a set. There are additional sets of pillowcases available in standard and king.

How to prevent pilling
We like these sheets and love the price. We've purchased at least eight sets in various sizes and colors. They fit beautifully on all of our beds. I wash and dry them regularly (over a year) and I'm not having a pilling problem. The price is great for this quality. I especially like the dark grey.*Update*I was surprised that some folk's sheets are pilling. I did a little research and learned that pilling can be caused by washing your sheets in hot water. Also, try using a gentle detergent. Line drying is ideal; I'm far too lazy to line dry sheets. I wash ours in cold (sometimes warm) water. I tumble dry them (alone - only sheets) on low heat and they still look as good as new.

Newly changed material is terrible
My boyfriend has bought these sheets for us many times in the past and we've loved them, they are polyester but felt like cotton. They have lasted for years and are so comfortable. We bought new ones because we upgraded to a Queen and needed bigger sheets. The new sheets feel awful! Even though the tag says its the same material and it's the same product, these sheets feel completely different. I don't think Amazon should be allowed to market these sheets marketed as the same ones they used to sell. The material, doesn't breathe, feels terrible to the touch and snags on feet. And after using them for 2 weeks, they have pilled. Oh well, I was about to throw them out anyway. So disappointing.

These will stain what they touch
WARNING: Upon receiving, I found these sheets bled their Navy Blue color onto things (after 2 extra rinse prewashes), which were then permanently stained by it. Were it not for that dealbreaking flaw, these sheets would be a 3/5 given the price and assuming you don't particularly care about the list of cons below. Personally, a year later, I regret not immediately refunding and replacing.Cons: 1) NOT COLORFAST - can and will stain anything touched 2) EXTREME PILLING + threads coming out regardless of delicate washing and air drying (both immediately evident), 3) DETRITUS SUPER MAGNET - attracts fluff/hair/whatever and doesn't want to let it go in the wash (vacuuming, LOL at having to, does nothing - most of it is stuck on as though by barbs)Pros: 1) PRICE - If you get non-dyed and none of the above concerns you, might be a reasonable value (quite a bit of rationalizing here - Costco currently has a microfibre set for $17), 2) SHRED RESISTANCE - somewhat more resistant to ripping/tearing than expensive cotton sheets, 3) TECHNICALLY FUNCTIONAL - they don't feel awful to touch/sleep on as far as I can tell, but neither did any other bedsheet set ive had, every one of which was superior in terms of all cons.

Edit: Just kidding, these are awful
EDIT: I'm changing these because the ones I liked better (the dark grey ones) are now suffering the same awfulness as all the other reviews warned me about. I regret not listening because in one night the top sheet pilled so badly I couldn't stand to touch it, and then the fitted sheet? I don't understand why I paid money for these and after two months they're going in the trash. The crosshatch ones I mention liking less are going on the bed now because I don't have any other sheets, but I will be buying replacements as soon as I can because they aren't even good now and I expect them to get worse. You suck, Jeff.Original review below, I guess.---------I'm confused.... I originally bought the Dark Grey AmazonBasics sheets and I was amazed at how comfortable they were, especially compared to the papery-feeling Ikea sheets I had been using for a few weeks before.I liked those sheets so much that I bought the Grey Crosshatch sheets... They feel completely different. Far more papery. It's not terrible (they are still better than the Ikea sheets), but there is a noticeable difference in quality. I saw someone else say they had a similar problem and I wonder what is going on.At first I thought maybe I had somehow ordered a different kind of sheet that was listed under the same ad, because I have noticed that happens sometimes, but I checked and they are supposed to be the same.Another weird thing is that the packaging for the two sheets which are supposed to be the same was completely different. The Dark Grey sheets I got were in a clear zipper bag with a card that said Amazon Basics on it, and it looked very official. The Grey Crosshatch sheets came wrapped in plastic (not a zipper bag, the kind you have to cut/tear open) and there was no label or anything...I am confused!!! I'm splitting the review because I do like the Dark Grey ones, but I do not like these wacky, inconsistent shenanigans and I would be afraid to order another set in case they were the lesser quality sheets.
