Stays in place in bowl
This worked great for my little dog who eats too fast. It slowed down his consumption rate immediately. I like that I can use the existing bowls in his elevated food and water feeder and that it stays in place inside the bowl. I have a small dog so I wish some of the internal ridges were a wee tad bit shorter then what they are. I want to slow down his eating, not frustrate him. Overall, however I am pleased with product and I would recommend purchasing it to a friend.

THIS WORKS!
I wasn't sure if this would work since it fits down inside the stainless steel bowl we use for our lab but I didn't want to buy a whole new bowl. The suction cups work on the bottom and it has slowed our chow hound down and made his meal time much healthier.

Works Great!
This works so well. My dog normally I gales her food in about a minute. With this, it takes her a very long time to eat. Great product!

Makes any bowl a slow-feeder bowl!
The media could not be loaded. Love that this converts any bowl to a slow feeder one. I like to occasionally switch my dog's bowls around (we have glass, stainless steel, and ceramic bowls) and this allows me to do that while still providing a slow feeder! Its sturdy, easy to clean, and provides a bit more challenge than the previous plastic slow-feeder bowls. Our pups do not bite their bowls, so we do not need to worry about the product's ability to withstand chewing. I am very happy with this product and will be buying another for our 2nd dog!

Ridges are a bit too high
First, I think this works best with dry food even though it advertises that it works for wet food as well. It's too hard to try to put wet food into it, which defeats the purpose. I have a small dog and it does fit in his dish, but the ridges are really high, so he can't actually eat anything toward the bottom without it hitting him in the throat. After the first time using it, I kept hearing him cough/choke while he was trying to get the last bits of food. That's obviously not the intention. I also don't think it would have mattered if he was a bit of a larger dog.

Did not work for Sophie the Cat
Even though it says cats as well, these are probably more appropriate for small/medium dogs. The product seems to be made of quality materials. The silicone is substantial and not flimsy. The suction works well. The ridges are fairly tall so it didn't not work for Sophie the cat. We only wanted to slow her eating not starve her. Out of 20 or so kibbles, she only got like 5 out.As her hoomom isn't usually here for her meals, we tested it with a timed feeder and it was a fail as it made a big mess as it bounced off the ridges. Oh well, we tried. As for dogs, I can only make assumptions. This will probably work for small to medium size dogs. Larger dogs can probably separate the suction from the bowl. And small/medium animals can also bite the ridges, causing the bowl to move... a smart cat/dog will probably figure a way to flip the whole bowl over and eat away >.<

Good for over-eager puppies
I was so glad to find this! It worked perfectly in my puppy's stainless steel bowl in his elevated feeder. He can be greedy, so this helps slow him down without giving up his elevated feeder or having to rig up something to make a different bowl work. It suctions to the bowl so he can't just flip the insert out and gobble relentlessly. The silicone makes it easy to wash between uses. The gray actually perfectly matches his slow feeder, too. This is a super insert to slow down your furry gobbler.
