Will my 8x42 Vortex binoculars fit nicely in this bag?

is this a hard case or soft case? If it is a soft case, does it have thick padding? What makes it shockproof?

It's a SOFT case and doesn't appear to have any heavy padding inside, although the lining is a spongy material. I wouldn't call it 'shockproof'. It depends on from how high a distance it is dropped or how hard it is bumped. For normal use, it's okay. I wouldn't put any high-end equipment in something like this. Works for me though.

Nice case

This Eyeskey case is well made and looks like it will offer good protection. It’s a little tight fitting for my 42mm Nikon Prostaff P3 when the lens protection caps are on the binoculars. The lid needs a good tug to have Velcro make good enough contact to close. It fits better without the lens caps.
