Great bike!!!
Update: 9 Years later, the bike is still going strong! No squeaking, still quiet as ever, still pedal's smoothly. The only thing that has worn is the seat. Of the 9 years I've had the bike I've probably used it for 5 years, if that makes sense. I didn't use it daily and there were periods I didn't use it at all. Original Review: First off, I would definitely recommend this bicycle! Okay, so I am 5'5 and I had NO problems reaching the pedals and pedaling comfortably. I don't know about the others claiming they are 5'5 and how they couldn't reach the pedals. Pro: - Extremely quiet - Pretty affordable (even for a college student) $117 - Easy to put together (depending how familiar you are with tools), took me 1 1/2 hours. - Very sturdy, doesn't feel like it gonna break when you sit on it (I'm 170lbs) - Takes up SO little space. Being a college student, I live in a SMALL room and this fits perfectly. Folds up super easily too. Cons: - HOLY MOTHER OF JEEZUS. The seat is HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY uncomfortable. When I read the reviews about the seat being uncomfortable, I thought that they were being dramatic but holy seriously.... My butt and back hurt sooo much from sitting there. I think I'll have to add a pillow onto the seat. - Again, like the other reviews said, the resistance is pretty much non-existent. But after like 5 minutes for me, my legs still start to burn. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this bike. The quality is so nice for the price. If I had to buy this bike again I would.

Inseam is key to comfort.
I am writing this AS I AM RIDING THIS BIKE. And so far, so good. I purchased this a while ago, and as some things happen with health and fitness when you're trying to lose weight you procrastinate and maybe let it sit too long. Well, about a week ago I said NO MORE. I had a baby last year and ate like crap for the following year, gaining 10 more lbs on top of the 15 I gained from the pregnancy, giving myself a whopping 25 lbs of extra weight. So having lost 5-7 lbs from dieting alone for 2 weeks, I hopped on this bike 3 days ago at 158 lbs and 5'5". I have a 38" inseam and that means of my 5'5" I have pretty long legs and a short torso. At the bike's lowest seat height I am very uncomfortable and my knees are coming up way too high into an acute angle. At the second to lowest seat height is where I hit my stride and my legs don't go lower than a 90 degree angle, perfect for riding. Sometimes if I want to be less harsh on my knees, I will go up one more notch in height, but this is when I start having discomfort/issues with the bike seat. It's not any less uncomfortable than my regular bike seat at that comfortable notch, but it's very uncomfortable when I go any higher. So ladies, my thoughts on everyone posting about who at what height will be comfortable on this thing, it's more about inseam than height. Anyone with a 36" or taller inseam will do just fine with minimal discomfort. Other than that, this bike is VERY easy to put together, the tools are included. Took me 20m. It's super light weight, and folds easily and rolls smoothly right into our coat closet in the entryway. It is also whister quiet. Seriously, my husband snores louder than this thing. For what it does and what it is, a super easy and compact exercise bike that gets you sweating, I give it a 5/5.

Decent for the price
This bike ended up being a lot better than I anticipated. It's easy to assemble, although when I opened the box and saw the diagram with all the parts, I did get a bit overwhelmed by how many different components there are to the bike. But overall, it's not too bad if you take it step by step like the manual advises you to do. After assembling it, I got to test it out and thought it was nice enough. It's collapsible, so it takes up very little space against a wall or in a closet. It's also really quiet, so it won't be too distracting if you use it watching TV or listening to music. I'm about 5'7" with long legs and have no issue with the pedals on the lowest height setting, but I feel like if I was any shorter, it may be harder to reach them. I did get a silicon seat cover for the seat and even with a cover to help with the hardness of the seat, wow, it is so insanely uncomfortable. I know bikes aren't supposed to feel like a cushion, but I'm constantly shifting back and forth to avoid how awful this seat feels. My only real issue with this bike is the sensor. Maybe this is just mine, but that the little tab on the back of the sensor that secures it to the bike bends easily and will always be a little loose because it started getting a weird crack in it. Overall, it's a good bike that serves its purpose. Not the best, but definitely not the worst, by far.

Sweet Little Bike
Bought this mid-August and really love it. The husband put it together fast (all the tools you need are included) and even he said it is made of better quality than he expected for the price paid. I use it every day and it is very lightweight and easy to roll from room to room & when folded up takes up minimal space. I am 5'6 and it fits me perfectly. I read the reviews beforehand, so knew the seat was uncomfortable, so I ordered the Schwin gel seat that Amazon recommended to go with it and while it does fit, it really made no difference comfortwise. So I also added a beach towel which makes it more bearable. I read somewhere that if you use a stationary bike everyday, within a few weeks, your butt becomes accustomed to the seat and it won't hurt as much. It also has a monitor that keeps track of time, calories and how far you ride. I would have given this 5 stars but almost from day 1, the left peddle made a weird thump noise that you kind of feel. I just pray it doesn't get worse. I will update this review if the bike falls apart or if that little thumping sound gets worse. Right now, I'm pretty pleased with it. Edited 12/29/16 - Just came back to change my rating to 5 stars from 4. This bike is still going strong and that little thump went away, along with the discomfort of the seat. I use the bike just a half hour per night (sometimes 2x per day) while watching tv and doing this along with a change to a more sensible diet (had to lower very high cholesterol), I have managed to lose over 20 pounds! Best of all, I feel awesome & I have also managed to get my cholestorol down. I went from size 12-14 (sometimes woman's plus) to my recent purchase last week of size 8 in jeans. Can't say it was all due to this bike, but it certainly helped kick my metabolism into a higher gear. Best investment I ever made. Love this little bike.

Assembly nightmare
If I could give this a zero star, I would… I purchased the sister elliptical to this one and had the same issue I’m having with this one. I had to get a refund for it because it was defective just like this one. Btw- don’t throw out your box, they will want you to ship this thing back and getting a box big enough for it can be challenging. Otherwise you will not get your money back. I had a huge ordeal with Amazon customer service over this issue. And trust me, you’ll most likely be shipping it back... So anyways, I purchased this one in hopes that it would be a little better for assembly. The bolts to the pedals are not threading up and if they do, they get jammed, so much so that you can’t get it to thread through all the way to be able to place the nut on it to secure it. It’s frustrating because I was finally able to get everything else on there except for that bolt and the plastic pedal piece due to this issue. I can’t use this product until I can assemble it fully. It’s really frustrating and annoying that this has now happened twice with the same piece. **Also- when I purchased the first one, I learned first hand that if the manufacturer issues you a replacement piece, that you might as well get your certificate as a mechanic because you will then need to fully dismantle the entire inside of the elliptical to replace the defective piece, which in my case, it was the crank arms for the pedals. They expect you to remove the old crank arm from inside and replace it. Right down to the barrings. Which btw, also were busted on the first one. There is a belt so tight that wraps around the crank arm and another mechanism that is so ungodly tight that you will spend a good amount of time trying to get off. It’s nearly impossible to place back on. It didn’t make sense to me why they didn’t just ship a whole new main frame piece with a new crank arm. Instead I almost broke my hand on the belt and couldn’t even replace the crank due to the busted barrings. The manufacturer did help as much as they could. They were actually the reason why I received my refund. Amazon on the other hand made it so difficult. This product is just a hassle and not able to be used.

For the money, it's okay, especially for the average home user.
Though the printed instructions were on par with Ikea, there are very helpful Youtube tutorials to demonstrate assembly. Overall, it took me about two hours, and would have been less time if the tension rod had been easier. I'm a very tiny person and don't pull a strong bow, so I did struggle quite a bit with pulling the tension rod in the neck of the machine. I also had to use pliers to open the place for the base of the tension rod to go (and then closed it back) because for the life of me I couldn't get it in there. But if you've ever assembled a multi-speed bike, it seems similar. The machine itself is okay. Not terrible, not top of the line great, but okay. It's sturdy and well-made, but you will need something under the front and back feet to keep it from skidding all over a hard surface. A yoga mat will do, but this is something that people should know first simply because trying the machine out with nothing underneath meant that the machine and I both traveled around my dining room as I gave it a 15 minute test run. The glide is perhaps not as smooth as higher end machines, and is the sort of nondescript machine that you'd find in the apartment complex gym. The big disappointment is the little computerized meter. I cannot get it to register with the heart rate monitor in the grips, and it doesn't record time, distance, or calories. It turns on and is supposed to do those things - that's why this machine is an upgrade that costs so much more. But it's an upgrade that I cannot use at all. I thought the monitor would be more like a tablet connected to the machine, but it's just a very thin, cheap plastic with the wires plugged in, which apparently is entirely decorative. It doesn't render the machine useless, just more difficult to track calories burned or distance run. Overall, it's not bad. It's a decent machine for what you pay for, and on sale it's a good bargain.

Still pedalin' six months later
I am an exerciser. Like, a "get up and at 'em at 4am" kind of exerciser. Because people can get the wrong idea if I'm out walking our road that early (not to mention the fact that people drive like idiots around here, and dodging speeding cars isn't the kind of exercise I'm looking for), I bought this little pink exercise bike back in February 2016. Six months later, I can't imagine how I lived without it. It comes in pieces in a box weighing 30-or-so pounds, but don't let that scare you. I was able to assemble it with the included tools in about 35-40 minutes, and I only said a bad word once or twice during the whole process. Once you're done with that, it's ready to go. It's quiet, so I've never had any issue with waking the other members of my household at the ungodly hour at which I use it. In six months time, I haven't had any issue with any of the bolts/nuts/screws walking loose, although I do a weekly check to make sure that everything is still holding where it should be. That's saying a lot for this bike, since it's been used almost every single day since it arrived. Granted, it's not super-duper gym quality, but it's still pretty darn good. Now, I will agree with what some of the other reviewers have noted about size issues. I'm 5'7" and wear a ladies small, so I have no problems with the height of the seat, *but*...I do have it in the lowest setting, so I can easily see how someone more petite in height could be left struggling. Also, I have some clearance on either side between my hips and the side handle bars, but not a huge lot, so please do take this into consideration if you think this feature could cause problems for you. You can always leave them off, because it wouldn't affect the function of this bike one bit, and you will still be able to pedal to your heart's content. Although some reviewers aren't happy with the magnetic tension levels on this bike, I'm content with them. Please note, though, that after about level 3 (on mine, at least), the difficulty level pretty much stays relatively the same. If you're a beginner, you will most likely have all the challenge you need. I like to stair-step my way through the levels every few minutes or so while I'm exercising just to break up the monotony of pedaling and not going anywhere, so I have no complaints about that aspect of the bike. The only thing about this bike that I would change is the seat. After several minutes, it starts to wear on my fanny, but it's bearable. For all the other great things about this bike, I'll live with it...and hopefully finally remember to invest in a cushioned seat cover. For me, this bike has been an unbelievably great investment, especially for the price. I can exercise in the privacy of my own home while I read or binge on Amazon Video, and when I'm done, I fold it up and stick it in the corner until the next time. It has held together magnificently with very repeated use, and I believe that it will continue to serve me well for quite a while into the future.

Yes!!!
I work out at home and have been slowly building a simple home "gym" with some basic workout equipment. Mat, weights, bands, kettle bell, balance ball etc. I was looking for a way to add in more cardio. In my search I came across this. I thoroughly read reviews and pondered a decision for a few days until I just decided to go for it. I can 100% say I am so glad that I listened to the good reviews and went for this purchase. I love this bike and I don't know how I ever lived without it!! First of all to touch on the reviewers that say they are 5ft5 or below and cannot use this bike.... I am 5ft3 and I fit on this bike perfectly on the lowest setting!! (Little tip for someone shorter, you can leave off the handlebars under the seat which will open up two more holes for you to make your seat setting even lower! I did not have to do this but its easily possible) My boyfriend helped me put this together and we did it in about half an hour. Nothing too hard. Just attaching some of the pieces to the main frame. Ok, now resistance. There are a lot of reviewers saying the resistance changes are essentially non existent. I have to wonder if maybe they are pro riders? This bike certainly has resistance changes. I am on level 3 starting out and the levels go all the way to 8. I tried all and for me I can tell a pretty big difference in the levels of resistance. I'm very happy with it. The design is surprisingly solid and seems well put together. For the price, my expectations were a bit lowered so I was wonderfully surprised after I put I together. Doesn't move when I peddle or anything of the sort. The little tracker on the front is a nice addition. It does seem like cheap plastic but I'm ok with that. I don't need anything fancy and I'm just happy sunny added it because a lot of bikes in this range don't have one and its so helpful. It let's me know my speed, distance, calories burned etc. I definitely consider this a nice little bonus. Overall I would 100% recommend this bike to anyone who isn't some sort of biking professional but looking for a good cardio workout. I'm pouring sweat by the time I'm done. Get this bike!!!!

Served it’s purpose.
Use it daily. Foot pedals are a bit small. I’m a ladies 8 1/2 and my runners constantly squeak against the sides. I wouldn’t consider it a vigorous workout, I don’t find the resistance too hard. I got this to help recover after surgery and it serviced its purpose. If you are athletic this might not be the equipment for you.

Best thing it doesn't need a plug, and is non electric. Easy to assemble and move. I have used it both outdoor and indoor.
