Learn Autodesk 123D easily with this book
Nice book of information. The program itself is non-explanatory, so having this book really helped with my learning to use it. I would recommend this book for anyone just starting out with Autodesk 123D to make 3D drawings for printing on a 3D printer or just making prints to hang on the wall.

Disappointing
Very basic information. Discusses both IPAD and PC versions of applications resulting in repeating of similar material at starting level. At one point there were multiple pages of diagrams showing how 3D printing is done layer by layer. Two diagrams would have been enough, I am not that stupid.

Basic book with lots of screen pictures filling the pages.
Vary basic book with low content/value. Multiple pages wasted to show layered printing - and the author jokes to rip them out and make a flipbook.Shows lack of knowledge in some areas. e.g. p 218 when describing STL file options..."...d. Allow to Move Internal Mesh Nodes - I'm not exactly sure what this does or how it works, but the Inventor Help facility simply states that it can be useful when modeling spiral curves."

REALLY DISAPPOINTED!
If you plan to study 3D drawing for from basic to advance this in not the book. No hands on tutorials; no objects to create.Good as a general guide of what to look for in 3D Printing using Autodesk.

USEFUL AS AN INTRODUCTION
This is only an overview of the Autodesk range of products so useful as an introduction but if you intend to actually use one of the programmes you'll need a more detailed manual.

Good overview, espeically if this is your first contact with the technology.
Spends a good part of the book reviewing using free SW programs that work on Tablets. Doesn't go deep enough with use of full blown Inventor or Autocad. Good first book on the subject.
