Volt Men's Golo Heated Vest,Black-Small

I'm very happy with this vest. To evaluate its size and effectiveness you should consider how it is designed to be worn. It is designed to be worn close to the body. I wear mine over a Tee shirt or other relatively thin flannel shirt. This places the heating elements close to the body where you can actually feel the heat generated. I wear a size small and under these conditions the vest fits "true to size". If you plan to wear heaver clothing under the vest you should order 1 size up but again, you will loose some effectiveness over heaver clothing. It is very stylish and pretty warm even without the heat. I wear it without turning on the heat quite often. In the wind or extreme cold you should probably wear a windbreaker and/or warm jacket layer on the outside. I only tested the battery life at level 4, the warmest level, and it was still going at 2 1/2 hours. The battery was blinking indicating, time to recharge. I believe this meets specifications and assume the lower heat levels would be as advertised. At 30 degrees and windy conditions I'm comfortable at level 2 with a light jacket over it. I don't believe I would ever need level 4 at temperatures above 20 degrees.

This is a sturdy, well-constructed and safe warming vest but the warming action less than I expected. It is localized to three distinct areas and stops short of where the pockets are so does not help warm hands. I like the overall construction but, for the price, I expected it to help more with my chilly Chicago walk to work. Specifically larger areas that were actively heated rather than three small patches. Even keeping at a brisk pace I am not getting a really noticeable boost in torso temp as I walk to work.

I live in this outdoors in the winter!!!

Vest is good but the battery only lasts an hour on high. Bought a new better battery and it's no better. Would not want to depend on them on a very cold day.
