Update: It's been 2 years since I purchased this and it's still running great. We use it often and while the battery probably has about 75% of the life it used to, it still works just as well as brand new. We never used any of the attachments because they ended up being mostly useless, but just using the stick and the hose attachment that makes it a bit longer (angled tip) it had been great for cleaning up messes or spot cleaning the floor. We even went as far as buying a second one to keep on the other level of the house. (for the price, we just couldn't resist!) We were expecting this to last 6 months or so given some people's reviews. For the price, we figured it was worth the gamble. So glad it's lasted this long. When it dies, we may return to get another or maybe even something else from Sowtech. This little vacuum surprised me with its lightweight and maneuverability (the majority of the weight is near your hand, making cleaning more of a point-and-click affair). The suction felt a bit weak with the broad-head attachment, but much better using the supplied crevice tool, which is what I use the most. It also helps to give it a good charge out of the box. It comes with about half of a charge, but that will give you a false sense of what it can do. It's not overly loud either! Our toddler would be sleeping in the next room and this wouldn't wake her unlike our standard vacuum that would every time. With all that said, it's fair to note that this is not the vacuum for you, if carpet is your main target. It mostly shines when used on hard, flat surfaces and when the mess in question is lightweight (dust, hair, etc.) Suffice it to say, if you have pets or long hair AND hardwood or tile, the little Sowtech should serve you nicely. I love this thing and it's made maintaining our hardwood flooring less of a chore. I wish I'd purchased it sooner!

I bought this Vacuum cleaner for $69.99 thinking it will have great suction power and will be great for my hardwood floor but it only lasted for 5 uses and battery died. It looked great and could have done the job but had a very poor quality battery life which died after only 5 uses. I won't recommend it to anyone as I regret this buy. Disappointed in this product and it's manufacturer I bought this vacuum cleaner on Nov. 30, 2019 and got it shipped to my son's house in Dallas TX. It was delivered on Dec. 6, 2019. I live in Canada and my plan was to pick it up upon my visit to my son on March 12, 2020. But Pandemic happened and due to COVID 19 all plans got changed as land border between Canada and America got closed. I could not visit my son for over two years due to COVID. I was just able to visit my son in April 2022 and picked up my SOWTECH Cordless Rechargeable Vacuum cleaner along with other things I ordered from Amazon. I really did love this little vacuum as soon as I unpacked it. It was packaged nicely, nice attachments, decent suction for such a light weight hand vac. It actually looked like it was really well made. Easy to clean then, less than two months into owning it and using it on a weekly basis, it died. No warning, no problems. Just wouldn't start one day. That morning when I about to use it, I pressed “ON” button but it never turned on. I charged it again but it didn’t turn on. It has never turned on again. This little vacuum died after only 5-6 uses. I have to give only one star review as this products life was Incredibly short. This was PERFECT stick vacuum cleaner the first couple of times I used it... just what I needed! Great suction, easy to use and clean, perfect. After a couple of times, it would only turn on if I had it plugged in for whole night. I would turn it on, and then I could unplug the charger cord and take it to use. Now, after several times of turning it on and off to get it started, unplugging it, and taking it to use, it is dead. Now it won’t come on at all, even plugged in. I’m sad, I really liked it the few times I could use it. I don't really have much faith that I will get a new vacuum or get a refund because on Amazon it is “out of stock” and its warranty was only 15 months. Warranty expired without even using it as it stayed in its box for over two years. I've been shopping at Amazon for a number of years and purchased countless of products and given countless positive reviews. Only this time I have to say: never buy this product. NEVER. It is the worst vacuum cleaner ever made. Has to be. This is a worst product in the Amazon inventory. Lord help us if there's something worse. Don't buy this. Its worst product ever made and waste of money. If you are going to buy a vacuum, spend more money, you are better off buying 1 vacuum for $300 that you will use for 10 years than buying this low quality one and get disappointed because in just few uses I end up throwing it. I am sad I wasted money on this and waited over two years to get it.

FOURTEEN REASONS I LOVE IT 1. It cleans well. 2. If I discover I've missed something after I put the Sowtech away, it's no bother to bring it out again--no cords to unwind or plug in etc. 3. Easy to assemble and take apart. 4, Great for picking up the specks and hair that show up on my hardwood floors. 5, I am amazed at the dirt it picks up when I use it on a rug that looks clean. 6. Far more versatile than a short -handle dust-buster. 7. The on-off switch is on the handle--no bending over. 8. The dust goes into a see-through chamber--all that dust was on my carpet? Seeing what I've vacuumed up is a great incentive to use the Sowtech. 9. No cord that has to be moved from outlet to outlet as I vacuum.. 10. Multiple attachments that are easily attached and moved-this Sowtech t can EASILY be used to vacuum sofas, crevices, tables, bookshelves. Any of the tools can be used on the Sowtech itself or at the end of a long tube. 11, The attachments, used on a long tube, fit in places my regular vacuum doesn't -- under my bed, under my dresser, etc. 12, No bending over, the way I've been doing with my dustbuster (which I thought was amazing until I heard about this Sowtech. 13. Affordable... a really good introduction to this type of vacuum cleaner. I was hesitant to buy yet another appliance but I very glad I bought this. I also gave one as a gift and the recipient likes hers, too. 14. Gentle enough to use on antique carpets with fringes. (My more powerful vacuum gets tangled with the fringes no matter how hard I try to avoid them.) My only problem was that I couldn't find the on-off switch until I realized that there was a removable cover on the switch (a clever feature, so it won't accidentally turn on).

I think the vacuum is a good value. It doesn't have enough suction to be effective with the wide attachments. Taking it apart to dump the dirt out could be simpler. My original unit stopped working in a short period of time. The unit was replaced so I was happy with the service. I would buy another one for what I am using it for which is picking up small debris and cleaning dusty areas.

Bought Nov 28. Now it won’t charge or turn on. It doesn’t charge if the power switch is on, but making sure the switch is off, it still won’t charge. The indicator light on the charger stays solid green like it is fully charged but it won’t turn on. UPDATE: after a bit of troubleshooting, I discovered it is actually the switch that went bad. If your charger blinks instead of staying a solid red or green, the switch is on the on position. If it’s green, the battery is fully charged but it won’t turn on due to the bad switch. Fortunately I found the exact replacement for about $1 (unfortunately they only came in a bag of 6). The switch replacement is sooooo easy. Remove the front attachments and filter sponges like you would for cleaning. Using a small phillips screwdriver, back out 6 screws that secure the casing. Open the rear vent cover just below the charging port and remove the product label on the underside. You should then be able to open the outer casing. There are three simple wires running between the battery and the motor. The two that attach to the switch can be removed and the switch can be replaced with a new one by sliding the old wires over the two prongs of the new switch. Then put it back together. There is the potential for electrical shock if you touch the two wires coming from the battery together or with your fingers so be careful. Bottom line, it was a good use for edging around the kitchen in conjunction with a shark sweeper or replacing a dust pan, cleaning cobwebs, and getting small debris from small work spaces. Used the larger attachments only once or twice. The battery is not good enough to use it for those applications consistently. I don’t think it would do well on carpeted stairs (except for edging). In my case it worked for just under a year. Looks like there are better options for much less out there now.

[With 2 UPDATES]: I have a small house with wood and tile floors and several area rugs. For years I've used cordless/bagless vacuums, but they've been larger, heavier, and more expensive than this one. I was wary, but for the price, I needed to give it a try. And I love it! First and foremost, it works, so that's good. And I love the narrow size that can easily get in and under things. (The light weight factor makes this device super easy for a child to handle.) And the simple, easy-to-use design blows my mind! Also, I like the hand vac using the small extension for all the hard-to-reach-with-a-vacuum areas so much better than the other hand vacs I've used. Now, if it lasts a decent amount of time, I'll be totally sold! UPDATE: Beds! Beds! I've never been able to clean dust bunnies from under a bed so easily!! SECOND UPDATE: I still really like this vacuum. This is my second one now. I've never had a vacuum before in my 72 years that is so easy to manage (which is appreciated when you're old and getting decrepit!), and I still love how easily it gets in, around, under things. And I really like the change in the filter portion. That keeps the filter in place better. As long as the price remains good, I'll keep coming back!

I initially gave this vacuum 4 stars because the suction power is incredible, especially with all the dog fur our dogs leave everywhere. It works great in getting grit and debris from between cracks in our hardwood floors and under furniture, etc. It's also super easy to empty the canister and clean the filter. However, I'm revising my 4 stars down to 2 stars because, after 6-7 mths of weekly use, it doesn't hold a charge for more than a day or so. For the last 2-3 mths, about half the time, the switch doesn't click on/off the first time we click the rocker switch. We have to click it back and forth several times before it will finally do what we want it to do (either turn on or turn off). Today, it got stuck in the on position. We finally got it to turn off. It is now stuck in the off position, and the button won't even click over to the on position anymore. A vacuum that won't even turn on is useless to everyone, no matter how well the suction would be if it turned on and worked as it should. Thus the 2 star rating now. We loved it while it worked. But who wants to have to replace your vacuum every 6 mths?

I bought this vacuum for the purpose of sucking up all of the shed dog hair from my German Shepherd. Shepherd's shed a LOT in the summer months (enough to create a whole new dog each day, lol)! I couldn't use the dry mop because the dog would chase it around and pounce on it so I resorted to bending over and using my hands. This was murder on my back. Did this for a few years, actually. I couldn't use my regular vacuum because the fur kept clogging up the hose and interior parts which required disassembly to clean. Sigh... I finally got smart and got THIS little gem! No hoses to block. No back that fills up each day because there is SO MUCH FUR. The attachments are long enough that no bending is required and the vacuum is powerful enough to suck the fur up, no problemo! The charge lasts long enough for me to go through my 1,200 sq ft, 2 bdrm house and then I just plug it back in for the next day. Only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get the job done. On the down side, I do need to empty the vacuum 2 or 3 times during the process but I'm not complaining, it only takes a minute to do (easy peasy) and won't even detract a star to the "inconvenience" because it really isn't inconvenient at all. If you're looking for a good fur sucker-upper to use on hardwood floors (can't speak to carpeted situations), I HIGHLY recommend this little vacuum. I don't often review products, THAT'S how smitten I am.
