Hair ChemistSLEEK Anti Humidity Shine Coat 3 oz.

This is one of my favorite products of all time. In my quest to master the "glass hair" look last year used the Color Wow version but never bought it as I stumbled across a review of Sleek saying it's just as good as Dream Coat. It also has protein which I'm pretty sure the Dream Coat doesn't have and my hair- well, wig as I have alopecia- needs all the protein it can get. ( I bleach and dye it an assortment of bright colors regularly.) In my opinion this is pretty much an exact dupe and works just the same as the Dream Coat.I first bought Sleek at Sally Beauty Supply but it sells like crazy so they were out, leading me to look to Amazon and thankfully I found it. I see some of the reviews talk about spilling and issues with the product but mine was packaged well with lots of bubble wrap and has no defects.My three holy grail straightening products (other than the at home keratin treatments I sometimes use) are this, the Drybar Liquid Glass smoothing serum, and IGK Good Behavior spirulina smoothing spray. Out of these the Hair Chemist Sleek is definitely my favorite with the Dry Bar serum spray coming in close second.In the pictures I show the wig I've been wearing. After bleaching in order to apply the vivid shades and considering the hair's natural wavy texture, it usually looks poofy after blow drying, no matter what blow dry serum/spray, brush, attachment or technique I use, and despite that my dryer itself is a salon brand and works very well. Then I started using this and BAM! Silky straight gorgeous hair only using blow drying. When I do choose to use a flat iron after drying my hair gets soooo unbelievably straight and glossy. (I'll try to remember to come back to update with pics of the hair flat ironed.) I was just so excited at how amazingly straight it got when using this product and just styling with a blowdryer!The effects only last about one or two washes and I think the package says 3 but that is not something I care about. All in all this is my holy grail heat styling product and I dread the day it's discontinued!

Love Sleek! It made my hair smooth and shiny. That says a lot since my hair tends to be frizzy and dull. It is very similar than the higher priced Wow! Save money and buy Sleek!

It doesn’t make your hair shinier, but it does prevent it from being frizzy. It is heat activated only, but it makes your blowout last way longer with zero frizz. My hair didn’t feel softer with it, but overall a good product. Once again, zero shine.

I like that this is more affordable than color wow but I haven't seen a difference in it preventing the frizz- then again, I didn't like the color wow results either. My family has a mix of hair porosity levels and it only seemed to do well on 2/3A hair and not anything with 4

I've tried several anti-humidity products and they either don't work well or weigh my hair down so much it just ends up feeling dirty and greasy. Not this product. I loaded up my hair with this stuff prior to a vacation to a very humid area and my hair stayed nice and sleek and my hair did not feel dirty at all.It did not protect against getting rained on though - I was mostly under cover but there were a few times where some rain got on my hair and it frizzed up pretty badly, but when it wasn't raining but just humid (it was around 70% humidity the whole trip) my hair stayed surprisingly sleek so overall a huge win. Normally over 50% humidity my hair is a gross frizzy mess even if it's not raining but this product kept it nice and sleek and my curls actually stayed put which was pretty impressive.In the attached pic I had curled my hair that morning and the pic was taken in late afternoon in 70% humidity. The curls had fallen out a tiny bit but for them to still be that intact AND sleek is incredibly impressive for my hair, which is usually super sensitive to humidity.

Good product, not greasy.

I ordered this package and it arrived with a defective top that caused it to leak inside the bubble wrap during shipping. This was not a USPS issue because the box it arrived in was in perfect condition. I was offered by Amazon to return the item for a new one. The new one arrived with the exact same problem. The majority of the product leaked out into the bubble wrap due to defective tops that are not secured. I may never know if the actual product is good or not since only the bubble wrap has been able to experience it.

So this is the generic brand to WOW. I have natural curly hair and in humidity it is a mess. I used to like to have my hair straightened but it seem to take so long for me to do it myself and within an hour it would be total frizz. This product was a life saver to me referred by a friend with natural curly hair as well. Its affordable and works excellent. I was hesitant at first but my friend gave me what was left in her bottle a one time use and I now wear my hair straight everyday and it protects from the heat as well.
