Quality Ice Maker Box
Very easy to install, and it's tough to find a style like this locally. The trim is nice and sturdy and looks good on the wall if it's ending up in a visible place, not behind your refrigerator like it did for mine. The hammer arrestor works perfectly and has held up for months, and the valve doesn't leak a drop even when left unhooked for over a week. Great quality choice for an incredible value.

Water hammer arrester failed literally on the second day
Looks well-built from exterior, the handle moves smoothly. I thought I would like it.Installed without too much hassle (I only used the valve and discarded the shroud). Upon installation I tested it—minimal amount of water hammer could be felt/heard. I thought the WHA worked!Guess what, it no longer worked the second day, yes, literally the second day. I didn’t do anything to the plumbing but the water hammer came back as it had been without this valve.Seriously??

Well built
This is a quality product perfect for adding a plumbing outlet for your refrigerators water / ice maker. This is for new construction only as it mounts behind the drywall. I have yet to figure out if I can use this without demolishing my pre-existing wall. Fingers crossed I can make it happen! If not I'll save it for a future project.

working well so far
I've never had a fridge before that was hooked up to a water line but we just ordered a new fridge that's coming later this week and it has a built-in ice maker so I decided to teach myself some plumbing and install a water line. After doing research I discovered that a water hammer a restroom would be a useful item to have to reduce the noises associated with the new water line and to reduce wear and tear on the pipes. Based on my limited carpentry skills and very limited sets of tools, I mounted this on some scrap wood and hung it between the joists in my basement and then ran the water line up through the wall from there. Even though the fridge isn't connected yet I do have the water active up to the water hammer a restaurant that one thing I've noticed is that my glass rinser attachment on my sink, which is at least 15 to 20 ft of pipe away from the water hammer arrestor, no longer bangs when we use it. I'd been considering ordering a second arrested install under the sink but it seems that this one is working well enough that I probably won't need a second one. I've also noticed it's quieter when the clothes washer turns on and off. Absolutely five stars.(If it does stop working in the near future I will come back and update this review)
