Absolutely LOVE these!
Context: I am used to being in either sandals or barefoot in home/native contexts. I wanted shoes that provided stability in how I did regular walks and specifically gym visits. & I was sick of bringing these bulky platform sneakers to the gym to lift. I had no lightweight shoes I can feel comfortable in. /Size: My normal size is a 9.5; I got these in a 10. At first I was thrown off because of all the extra real estate in the toe area. Then I realized this is normal and that these are wider in the toe area. I have a bit of room from my toe to the top of the shoe which I like. After 2 days of wearing I definitely feel more comfortable to the sizing.Overall: I AM IN LOVE WITH THESE SHOES. They're so comfortable. I no longer care that they don't look like the slimmest shoes; the all black pair is pretty sleek itself to be honest. Also, set your expectations with barefoot shoes! These are designed to be thin, flexible shoes. I love to use these on rocky paths and feel the grooves of rocks and hills and grass through the shoes on my feet (reminds me of home & is very grounding). This can be VERY unexpected for people who are not used to this! Especially for rocks or harder surfaces. Beware! Know what you are buying.

Cute looking shoes
Interesting feeling, I feel like my feet get tired much faster but at the same time it’s breathable, looking cute, fits well and durable. Feels so different from other shoes.

Us 7 is eu 37
I really like these shoes and the pair is very well made, and the delivery was quick. I noticed after receiving it that the us size was off compared to what the vivo website suggests. Us size 7 is eu 37, so I’ll be ordering a bigger size.

Too narrow. Defeats the purpose of the shoe.
I really wanted these shoes. The style is probably the nicest I've seen for barefoot shoes. But they need to update the sizing. I'm a short guy, 5'4" and I have small feet, I first tried the smallest size in the men's and it was too big, so I ordered the correct size in women's. But they make the womens shoes narrower (I even emailed the vivobarefoot site to ask that and they confirmed the womens are narrower) and the ones I ordered are the perfect fit in length but are so tight around the front of my foot. Like tighter than my regular shoes, and the whole point of these shoes is to avoid that and be foot shaped. I honestly don't even think they'd be wide enough for a womans foot either. They need to start making all the sizes in the same width or offer a wider version.

I love them, but the mesh could be a little more reinforced
This is my first pair of minimalist/barefoot shoes, and in terms of fit, feel, and toe freedom they are amazing! I highly recommend downloading the size guide on the vivo website because the fit is accurate to that guide. This is a European brand, so its key to get the proper EU size. When first getting them, I spent a week or so taking thirty minute walks to break them in/get used to them. They wore a few blisters on my heels, but nothing outrageous—just a different wear than the nike sb dunks that I’m used to. Now I’m wearing these for 14 hours a day at work, which is a stand and walk heavy kind of job.The thing that upset me about the shoes is that after not even having them a month, theres a hole thats been worn into where my big toe hits sometimes. So I wish this had better toe reinforcement. I also think the laces on the shoe could be less stiff to get a better bite on tying them. They come loose easily.I love that they’re vegan, and am pleasantly surprised at how well that is holding up. They aren’t hot and my feet don’t sweat in them. They’re great for flying in. I’d definitely buy another pair of vivos—but maybe a different style because I don’t like that the mesh is tearing this early on after spending $100+

I wanted to hate these, but I love them.
I'm a longtime "barefoot" runner of 10+ years, typically wearing earthrunner or xero sandals. But on rainy days (I'm from Southern CA so don't deal with snow), I need shoes. I've done other minimalist shoes price ranging from $50-90 and they do work fine. But these went on sale for a moment so I figured I'd try them, even though regularly I feel like they're too expensive when most folks know you have to replace running shoes every 500 miles or so anyway regardless of brand name. I wanted to feel like they were like any other minimalist running shoe. They are not. They slide on like a glove. I can wear no socks and they haven't chafed me. I've taken them on a 50k trail with mud and rain and they've held up (NOT waterproof nor do they claim to be FYI for some reviewers, I mean read the description). They wash out mud well in a river and dry quickly. Really quickly. I hate that I love them, and now I'm stuck with the brand even when I have to pay full price to replace them. Dangit Vivobarefoot, you got me.

I ordered a 39, got a 40 but really I was looking for space for the front of my foot.
I love these shoes. I was looking for shoes that allow space for my toes! Specifically, I was looking for shoes for tai chi in which I need to spread the metatarsals. These shoes allow that perfectly. I have grip on the ground for the pivots but freedom of foot. My feet are in 7th heaven. And I think the shoes look pretty cool!

Expensive, but comfortable
For synthetic shoes, these are pricey, but I understand the reasoning for this (recycled, non-exploitative). At first, I found them quite uncomfortable as I was not used to barefoot shoes, and I had plantar fasciitis at the time. In the end, I inserted my orthotics and the shoes were more comfortable. As time went on, I found that my feet were adjusting to the thin soles and, even with a lot of walking on cobbled streets, the shoes were comfortable. They are well designed - particularly the wide toe cap. The fit is accurate, but if you want to wear with thicker socks in winter, I would suggest getting a sightly larger size than normal.

Barefoot on point!
Thin sole and no amortization. The feeling of walking with no shoes on is 100% there. So if you are in search of that kind of feeling, vivo barefoot is your top choice!
