We got the queen and it was shrink wrapped, and air came in when we opened it. When we got the twin, it was just wrapped in plastic wrap and looked terrible. In checking, it looks like a twin was frequently returned. In fact, that’s the first thing I did; however, I canceled the return and figured I’d wait 24 to 48 hours as suggested. After 24 hours it was almost perfect, which was shocking. After 48 hours the final kink was gone and we kept it; so if you buy the twin, give it 48 hours ! I wish I took a picture because it really looked terrible!

This mattress topper offers comfortable, deep pile support and holds its shape very well. It comes in a vacuum sealed bag and once you release it, it will form its shape pretty quickly. Did not find that it was particularly cooling as advertised, in fact, I felt uncomfortably warm all night. It holds your body heat rather than releasing it.Make sure to follow directions and place the topper directly on your mattress, then use a mattress protector over the topper to secure it in place. It does not shift with movement, so this is a big plus. If I had to describe how it feels resting on this, I'd say it's a lot like being on a cushy cloud, so if not for the heat retention, I'd have given it five stars instead of four.

I bought this to soften up the spare bed I sleep on when visiting my family. I’m not as young as I used to be, and my back and hips weren’t happy with the status quo. This mattress topper is amazing. Soft yet supportive, it made the cheap mattress feel like a luxury bed. It did run a bit warm but not enough to reduce stars. I’d buy it again!
